Btw, I hate this inactive business. I wouldn't mind 4-5, but it makes some very tough decisions when you are thin at a position. They are on the roster, give them the chance to play! Mine: 1. Thigpen, QB 2. Crowder, LB - inj. 3. Parnell, OL 4. Rose, DL 5. Geathers, DL 6. M. Johnson, ILB (tossup w/Carpenter, ILB) 7. Moses, OLB 8. Wallace, WR (tossup with C. Smith, RB & Hilliard RB) Wallace has a shot to suit up with only 5 WR's and 2 TEs on the team. May depend on game plan by Henning; and how much they believe in his ST abilities. Reason for tossup with Smith & Hilliard is based on a) how healthy Smith is and b) how ready he is to return kicks. If they feel good about it, he'll get it probably over Wallace. Johnson probably has an advantage over Carpenter in terms of base D as a sub and some advantage in knowledge of ST's - but Carpenter probably has a good advantage in terms of ST skills. Who do you think will be inactive?
Good list. It's pretty tough to call these, but here's my guess at it anyway : 1. Pennington (3rd QB). 2. B. Carpenter - I think Micah Johnson gets the nod over him, at least for this week. I don't expect this to last but at this point they will go with the guy that's been in camp. 3. Crowder - injured. 4. Hilliard - we don't need 4 RBs active. 5. Wallace - don't need 5 WRs either. I think Moore is ahead of him at this point. 6. McQuistan - they will go with Murtha and Procter as the backups this week. 7. Parnell - see 6. 8. Rose - could just as easily be Geathers, but I know so little about either that I just picked one at random.
Jake Grove, Charles Grant, Charlie Anderson, Marques Douglas, Will Allen, Patrick Turner, Pat White, Bill Parcells.
Hmm..8 guys plus the #3 Qb? -Pernell -Geathers -Rose -Marlon Moore -Lydon Murtha' -Lex Hilliard -Nolan Carroll -Micah Johnson -Tyler Thigpen Of those the only surprises would be Murtha and Carroll, but McQuistan is the new Swing backup, and Clifton Smith makes Carroll redundant on Special Teams.
Isn't is 7 inactives plus the emergency QB? I think... OL Jeremy Parnell OL Lydon Murtha WR Roberto Wallace DL Robert Rose LB Channing Crowder KR Clifton Smith FS Reshad Jones And of course Tyler Thigpen the emergency QB.
3rd QB Pennington WR Wallace T Parnell DE Rose (interesting if they inactivate Geathers too leaving only 5 active dlinemen) LB Crowder LB Carpenter OL Procter (another interesting decision here, they can go with only seven active olinemen, they've done it before) S Reshad Jones (could make Sean Smith inactive, but I doubt it.. or Nolan Carroll, likely Jones though because he's a safety) btw, there could be a call up or two from the practice squad just before the game... only one center on the roster means Hartline could get called up... also only two tight ends means one of the other two gets called up.. and both active for the game... which could mean Parnell and Rose get dumped and placed back on the PS...
Whats sad is with all the players we cut that the bills actually have a shot at winning the game now....
I agree that McQuistan is probably the new swing tackle, but do you think he's ready to play at this point? I think they go with Murtha this week and try to change to McQuistan once he gets a few more practices under his belt.
I beg to differ. I say the Jets waive White and we pick him as a starter for Sunday to unveil WildPat 2.0. We will also have Bill Parcells playing safety like we were planning to do with Zach Thomas back in the day. Will Allen with have a miraculous recovery and will start.
