Took these at the Seattle game...they aren't the best in the world because I was limited to a crappy 28-300 lens (they don't let you take lenses that extend longer than 8 inches into the stadium without a press pass).
In the Ginn pic, it looks as tho the hold on Duckett was not even necessary. Looks like TGJ is far enough away that theres no way Duckett even touches him!. Maybe its the angle....
It wasn't necessary. Duckett could have been even closer than that and he still wouldn't lay a hand on Ginn.
Great shots Rick. I know your very good at taking pictures as you've shown us your collection in the Lounge if I remember correctly. Just great work. Thanks!
Well, you could if any of the rest were worth seeing... Actually, there are a couple of warming up pics I could work on. I'll post-process them today.
If those were taken with a crappy lens, I can't imagine what the good one would do. Those look about as clear as the game did live! Next time, though, aim up and left a bit when the team runs out and I'll wave. Nice pics, thanks!
Not to get too deep into a photography discussion, but any zoom lens with that long of a range...in this case, over 10X...is going to have more distortion than a lens with less zoom range. Also, it's a very, very slow focussing lens and it doesn't let enough light in, which is why out of 70 or so shots, those were the only ones worth looking at.
I hope you get one of Ricky doing the same thing Ronnie did to their DB on the goal line at Sundays game. Look forward to seeing some from the Oakland game I can share w/ my Raider fan friends.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend that game...my son's Boy Scout troop is going camping this weekend and I am an Assistant Scoutmaster.
