    High-priced:
    DE Justin Smith
    CB Marcus Trufant

    Mid-level:
    WR DJ Hackett
RB Jamal Lewis (if Ronnie won't be back at the beginning of the season)

    Low-priced:
    S Mike Doss
    TE Nate Jackson

    Draft picks:
    #1: DT Glenn Dorsey
    #32: TE Fred Davis
    #53: ILB Tavares Gooden
    #65: CB Chevis Jackson

Personally, I'd like to see what we can get for Jason Taylor in a trade. Depending on how the draft plays out and what we get for JT, I can envision trading back into the 1st round to pick up another defensive player.

Yeah my first choice is to trade down but not out of the top 10. JT is a possibility but it would really have to be worth it. I dont want to trade him just for the sake of trading him

The one guy who jumps out at me from that list is Moorehead from Panthers, he filled in while Kris Jenkins was injured, and he can play DT at a high level.

Max Starks from the Steelers as well.

After that and down the "need" list:

CB Randall Gay is a pretty good DB or Eugene Wilson at S.

    And dirt cheap:

    David Patton.

    Tuisasopo from the Jets

First 4 picks in the draft:

    Unknown really.

We still have the Bowls and the combine and personal workouts.

And we have a few guys we should resign like

    Lehan
    Chatman
    Hadnot.

    T Starks
    G Mormino, Alabi, Toledo.
    C Satele
    G Hadnot/LK3
    T Carey.

    John Beck
    Reagen Mauia
    Chatman or Moore or McFadden

    TE Peele
    Wr. Ginn
    Wr Patton

    LB's

    WSLB Joey Porter
    MLB Derek Pope
SSLB Channing Crowder (or draft choice)

DE Jason Taylor (if not traded)
    DT Kendil Moorehead
    DT Rod Wright
DE Moses or Roth or a platoon

    CB
    Andre Goodman
    Will Allen
    Randall Gay

    SS Jason Allen
    FS Eugene Wilson

And we need special teams reorganization on kick coverages especially.

Kick coverages have been a nightmare this year. Moorehead is a nice spot. What happened to Patton the last month. He just disappeared after a couple of good games

    yeah....probably right considering the options.

I think that Bryant Johnson will also make out ok considering the other WR options. Especially if he takes advantage of the opportunity he has now with Fitz and Boldin ailing, I think he'll be the top FA WR (assuming Moss stays with the Patsies (they have an club option with hime, right)).

The Saints may be switching offensive focus?

Patton is a sure handed Wr, and a winner, we need a solid possesion WR, and there looks to be some good Te's available, but how well do they block?

Moorehead is a pretty decent player, he just is in Jenkins shadow, I couldn't find stats on him but he really played great in 2005 and 06 when Jenkins went down.

Starks would be a good young Olineman pickup, he would be an upgrade over Shelton IMO.

Yeah depending on how it breaks, johnson could get a nice payday. The good thing is it seems there is alot of talent available for us in free agency. I think our draft is really going to be shaped by who we are able to acquire. I think we should be in very good cap shape with the players we dumped and if Zach retires or is let go that should free up even more
