That would explain his drop last year when the draft arrived, wouldn't it [if he's the guy I'm thinking of, which I'm fairly sure he is].
Ok I figured him out... kinda. The main writer dude for PTD, R.C Fisher, is a "draft analyst" for CollegeFootballMetrics.com, a "football projections analyst" and writer for FantasyFootballMetrics.com, and his group also provides "player projections" for Advanced Sports Logic’s football software, The Machine. Ironically, Fisher [Josh Rabbit] is 86th in FRX Challenge. Perhaps he should be asking us for advice instead. LOL The above link to CollegeFootballMetrics provides a list of mock drafts, all created by his truly [Cromartie]. The mocks are prefaced with this blurb: There's also a link to an interesting interview between Fisher & Cromartie that seems more like and under-the-table tug fest. http://www.tugfestinterview/
Dammit, so annoyed this morning. Note to self: if wife disables flash player and does not tell me about it, PTD will not allow me to view the Trading Floor in order to make my daily moves. grrrr. I spent half an hour refreshing pages and trying to figure out what was wrong with the site before giving up and thinking they were perhaps closed for business this weekend. She owes me about 200k for that snafu but something tells me I won't see a penny of it. lol BTW, the Senior Bowl Challenge just started up. That's the one they give out prizes for. I feel like FRX Insiders is the one that should be doing that.
You know, I think as the more money we gain, the tougher it can get to profit daily. I think there's a misconception that we need to spend ALL [strike]$19.1 million[/strike] available dollars in order to maximize our profits but I bet if we just picked 5 guys whom we have the strongest conviction about that day and only went with those 5 [regardless of available funds] that we'd probably do even better than maxing out our funds among 12 or 15 guys.
I think a lot of people are holding so less stocks are being moved now. I'm less than 30K away from being in 1st place.
Totally gonna do what I said in a prior post- just pick 3 to 5 guys I feel really adamant about rather than trying for the huge score that leaves me in the friggin' red like the past 2 days. Plus it seems like my hold players are hurting me.... I mean, they're steadily gaining ground, but the past 2 days one half of them has been in the red which which led to a negative overall showing.... then the other half went into the red this morning which screwed me overall again. No more of that. If I had stuck with only the 3 players I was really confident in last night I would've made 110k easy peasy. Instead I dropped 45k. Still in 3rd place with 19.13M but I need to make up ground while Xavier and #2 are busy having bad days.
Yup it's the top 10 hurting me. Other guys in the green but hard to compete when the holds are losing 20k+
For fudge sake, I ignored my own advice again last night and took a pineapple up the *** for it. New strategy. Do the same thing I said previously- only go with 3, 4, or 5 buys I feel great about that day and then use the remaining funds on 450K players I think represent the best chance of making the jump. That way I can still use my leftover money [6-10 million worth] but do so w/o risk. Gonna try it for a week and see how it does.
