Today should be a "win and in" scenario since I expect Buffalo to absolutely destroy New England (under the circumstances). The question is, can we beat the lowly Jets when it matters the most?

I know many of you here just want the season to end, to get out of this nightmare, and to wait for free agency to try and figure something out. But the fact remains that it's week 18 and we're very likely one win away from a playoff berth.

If Tua were to come back next week and our defense could figure a few things out, who knows what could happen. That's the beauty of the playoffs since we have absolutely nothing to lose at this point.

So I guess that leaves only one thing left to say- go Fins go, beat the stinkin' Jets! LOL!

If the defense hasn’t figured it out 16 weeks into the season, they’re not going to the next 2 weeks.

The real question is Boyer not the right coach or have the injuries to Jones, Jones, Needham, Ogbah and Howard had that big of an impact on their performance? It may be both. Any chance any of these guys make it back next week?

Howard is playing today. The rest, not gonna happen.

PS. Hopefully, the rumors about Fangio being linked with Payton aren’t true, as he would be a top choice to replace Boyer this offseason.

For the most part Boyer had X playing 8 yards off the receiver something he is not good at. Not sure why they didn't double the one WR when it was clear that was the only player Flacco was throwing to. On the plays X lined up opposite him he missed the jam a couple of time. That is all on Boyer, he sucks

While injuries do affect the talent on the field, they can’t be the excuse for a defense playing poorly throughout the year.

Prior to todays game, the Dolphins have 12 players injured and defense ranked 27th in the league in points allowed, 20th in the league in yards allowed, 30th in the league in turnovers, 24th in 3rd down…basically a train wreck.

But when the argument is made that the defense has so many injuries, you can’t succumb to that. A DC knows how to adjust. Take for instance…

The Broncos have 23 defensive players on injured reserve. Wow! You wanna know what their defense has been doing? They’re ranked 10th in points allowed, 7th in yards allowed, 13th in turnovers, 2nd in 3rd downs. Despite how injured they are, they’ve adjusted and their defense has performed.

Take a look at the Chargers. They have 15 players injured and they’re ranked 18th in points allowed, 19th in yards allowed, 12th in turnovers and 16th in 3rd down.

Boyer has been an utter disaster for the defense this season. Had Miami’s defense just played middle of the road defense, it’s conceivable Miami would have at least 2-3 more victories including a sweep of the Bills and looking at the AFC East title.

Regardless of the final outcome of this season there’s no doubt that Josh Boyer has got to go.

I knew we were in trouble at beginning of year when he kept talking about the one player being out. I was like uh oh, he wont be able to adjust.
