Just wanted to put this out here so it doesn't get lost..
He actually said two really's....lol
Then the other guy on the insiders said he's hearing in the league that Mitchell could be the "steal of this free agency period", breakout player.
4.75 forty at 296 lbs..
Super quick and active who was stuck playing the nose tackle position last year, free that brother up with Starks and let them attack the line of scrimmage ala Geno Atkins.
Good vibes thus far...
And did you hear, we're getting a better version of our stadium..seats will be moved closer, seats will be painted..few rows added to the sideline.
Fun.

Where can I buy Super Bowl tickets? It's a lock!

I like Mitchell, but Polian's endorsement does nothing for me. The game left him a long time before the Colts left him, and he's even worse in his current role.

Man, how great would it be if DJ really steps up and becomes a dominant pass rusher? Our D would be sick. Wake needs someone else to get good pressure and free him up from double teams and RB chips, etc. A guy with his potential and physical attributes, could really be something special for this D. It's still a big IF, but that could take the D to another level, but i guess, at this point, we'll just have to hope.

Polian loves Mitchell. Had him ranked number 6 on his list of free agents. Not sure how much that means, but it's good to hear I guess.

This kid is all business, you can tell what kind of player we want..it's all about the passion and willingness to work at their craft, both Albert and Mitchell are in tremendous shape right now..they both have strong work ethic and our lean players, that's plus plus imo..
Here's what I'm thinking, jared Odrick, you better step up your workouts and your game if your gonna beat this kid out..
If you can't beat this kid out, myself personally I would shop him, I don't need a former first round pick in a rotation, I can find depth, but if I can get a high pick I might think hard about that. -
I don't see Patterson coming back to Miami but it would be nice. I just think he would be too expensive. They saved $5M off of him so we'll see.

Should be a very good fit Here. I aghree that his skillset will play bettr in our system. How much better, we'll have to see

Bill Polian has been flat-out awful on ESPN the last few days.

Seems like a high pick for a guard in Martin, but I would be hopeful that he can play guard for 2-3 years, play LT if Albert gets hurt, and take over at LT when Albert leaves. Not very sexy. -
Home: Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Baltimore Ravens
Away: Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars
I see use splitting evenly within division so 3 loses there, Losing to Denver, GreenBay, Chargers, KC, and Chicago (8 Loses)
Winning: 3 division games so 3 wins there, beating Minnesota, Jacksonville, Oakland, Ravens, Detroit (8 Wins)
So again next year were sitting outside the playoffs with a mid teens draft point... Again *****ing next offseason... I know things can change but this is how i see it right now.. -

Starks: 742
Odrick: 876
Soliai: 572
Austin: 28
Martin: 32
Aaitui: 36
Besides it sounds like Mitchell is going to take over Soliai's spot in the end unless we got another move to find a more stout guy. I don't see Starks or Odrick filling that spot on the DL full time. -
There sure were games last year where those guys could have used a blow. They had some games w/ lots of snaps on D and some series that were really long as well.

"..they have be healthy and be out on the field.."
He has mkt value, the question is how much value with him missing significant time the last 2 seasons with lingering injuries.
Suspect we landed our top 3 FA targets, Starks/Mitchell/Albert, now we manage Cap space and see where the market settles on the middle class FA's we may be interested in signing.
Rb's typical go into FA with high expectations, the league simply won't pay them what they think they are worth, would love to see a MJD in Miami if the price is right -
The idea with a guy like Earl Mitchell is he's harder to get blocked and harder to anticipate what he's doing. He can stunt and attack a variety of gaps, and he'll be quicker to the point where he can cause a problem with a blocker trying to square up on him if he's fast enough off the snap. He won't be as good when he's successfully blocked but the idea is that he's harder to do so on.
He's a 1-technique in Houston. I think to an extent people are barking up the wrong tree suggesting he was miscast because it was a 3-4 because it's the same technique and the same kind of responsibilities. -
