If you could have one of these former Dolphins back to today's game/team for 1 year only, who would it be? (Factor in that these guys in their prime would be joining the current Miami Dolphins team for 1 year)

Marino. With today's rules he's the MVP and we are a serious contender.
Hiruma78 and GARDENHEAD like this. -
Easy. Cameron Worrell.

For today's NFL and only 1 year there is no other rational answer than Dan Marino. If you were talking about extended period of time, I could see an argument being made for Don Shula or maybe even Joe Robbie. Their impact would take time to develop. For 1 year only, it has to be Marino in his prime. He would throw for 6,000 yards with today's rules.

Love Tannehill, but Marino in this era would be a God.

You shouldn't have included Marino in the options, it's obvious he's going to win by a landslide
First name that caught my attention when I looked at the options was Ricky Williams before I realized there was Dan and Shula haha. But imagine Ricky in his prime with this team, wow... -
* - See: Randy Moss might as well have murdered Worrell's dog in cold blood as his kids watched. -
For one year, Marino...
For long term - Bobby Beathard! -

Dan Marino would make Joe Philbin look like the greek god of coaching. -
SHULA. He has rings. Marino doesn't.
-
I could certainly see the argument of an early 30's Shula. One of the best head coaches in the league for the next 30 years or so has its share of appeal, especially since injury, ect isn't a concern.
However, I'd still take a 21 year old Dan Marino over all other options. -

I went with Ricky Williams, he will always be my favorite player. I would love to see him again in his prime even if it was just for one year.
Just to clarify the question wasn't who I thought would take us to the playoffs or potentially the Super Bowl.77FinFan likes this. -
Marino and it's not even close. He arguably (yes, objectively) the greatest football player ever.
-
Shoulda left Dan the Man off the list it would have been more interesting.
-
For 1 year the choice is obvious, Marino. For another career I choose JT and ZT. I love those guys.

A great organization starts at the very top. We went from one of the best owners in the league with Joe Robbie, to one of the worst with Ross.
I would take Robbie over any of the former players or coaches. Because I have no doubt he would hire a great head coach and GM and they would rebuild a great team in Miami.
With Ross, the best you can expect is one mediocre season after another.
