Tuna is tight with Al Davis and did work the Satele trade last yr, heck I'd take Johnnie Lee Higgins or Mike Huff for JP and swap draft postion for the #2 and #4 pick.

I don't think we'd be able to get Huff for Porter

If they can pull off a trade, that'd be great. Although, I think I'd prefer a pick to any player. That said, I just don't see anyone trading for Porter. I think teams know that the likelihood of Porter being cut before his roster bonus is due is pretty high. IMO, I think it's an almost certainty. In that case, why trade when you can pick him up for free?

JP was listing teams and included SF and AZ.
As for who will trade for JP...he works cheap and is still productive. -
I personally dont care where we trade Porter as long as he doesn't end up with the Jets or Pats. No way can we release him to FA because they are going to pick him up in a second.padre31 likes this. -
Raiders RB McFadden is the answer:

Porter to Oakland makes A LOT of sense if you're the Phins. They would be showing Porter the place to stick it, and we get some high draft picks too!
-
Michael Bush, Zach Miller, but I doubt wherever he winds up it will be for a draft pick more than likely, there are a few Raiders players I'd like but they would probably take a draft choice.GISH likes this. -

The Raiders sure as hell aren't trading Darren McFadden for Porter.
I would be surprised if we got anything higher than a 4th, and if we did, it would be a steal for us.PhiNomina likes this. -

If he can play RDE, then it makes sense.

Every time he talks we lose leverage in a trade... -
It would not be illogical to think Porter may agree to a pay cut as long as he stays in a set range like 4 million even. -
The 33-year-old informed Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that he wants to play for a team in his home state of California that utilizes the 3-4 defensive scheme.

I've given this some reflection and a couple of things have stood out to me from the past year concerning Joey Porter:
-Porter at TC saying about how he was not naive about Competition
-JT dropping the not so subtle jab by saying "I stopped going out and drinking, my play was suffering because of it"
-Porter hanging out with Ted Ginn before the proposed race with Chris Johnson
-the reasons why Cam Wake was not playing more often, we all wondered why he was not playing more, now it is clear..JP would have retreated further away from everyone on the team
-JT saying "I'm going to go play golf while they figure out what they want to do and where they would play me'
-JT also said "there is a business side to this that was kind of pushed off to the side last year"
-Channing Crowder saying out of the blue "I will never ask for my release from the Miami Dolphins"
-The supposed argument between JT and JP about Porter griping about being rotated in and out of games, JT is saying that was a lie, but I think it is sort of a NFL lie meaning he had to say it no matter what the facts.
Lost in all of this is JT also had an interview today, archived on QAM no doubt, where he said out of the blue "anyone who says I talked bad about Joey is just offbase" or something very similar.
I'd suppose one could see this coming, but the one guy no one has heard from is Akin Ayodele..finyank13 likes this. -
Darren McFadden for Porter & a forth round draft choice. doable. or GinnJr. & Porter for McFadden ... better yet!

Sums up why Wake did not get much time on the field.
All in all its probably a good thing we now have Nolan as DC not if but when Joey walks it will only help Nolan make the changes needed easier. The young players won't miss a beat you can count on that. -
1) had no such injury problem throughout his high school & college career & has sustained no major injuries in the NFL
2) is playing behind a terrible offensive line w/ no passing game
3) has been public in his discontent w/ the Raiders & Al Davis
4) would be the definitive answer & future to our running game
5) expensive? you usually get what you pay for... however, his price tag diminishes considerably if we can unload Porter and/or GinnJr. on Al Davis.
been calling on this one since the beginning of the season  it could just happen -

Friend StringerBell:
it's because that all this is true they will trade him
plus BillParcells, plus Al is in love w/ speed (GinnJr.)
& loud, attention grabbers w/ nasty dispositions (Porter)
he'll go for it because he is Al Davis  mark the post, he'll be a Dolphin
:theman:Darren McFadden::escape: -
If we get McFadden we should also trade for Reggie Bush and draft Tim Tebow so we can have Ginn, McFadden, Bush, Pat White and Tim Tebow on the team. We'd set the record for most guys who were supposed to single-handedly revolutionize the game of football and then flamed out.

may seem like a long shot right now, but I've been watching this one his entire career
also have a pretty good average @ guessing unsuspected acquisitions:
1) w/ first on to Cameron Wake & predicted the FrontOffice would make him a Dolphin
2) w/ first on this forum presenting & predicting the acquisition of our newly acquired offensive guard, Tsoumpas (also from the Canadian league)
3) & I'll make one more prediction: McFadden will be a Dolphin.
just remember I was first to come up with it when it happens, the time is @ hand.
