Positions teams favor/avoid in first round

xphinfanxforum_veteranOPMiami has taken a quarterback in the first round just three times in its history. Two of them -- Bob Griese and Dan Marino -- are in the Hall of Fame. The other is current starter Ryan Tannehill.)
Three OL in the past seven years have been taken in round one. Interesting that the last first round linebacker was in 1984 Jackie Shipp.
Is there a stat showing what position overall is the safest first round pick and the worst position to take in a first round?

Makes it easier. Dennis Hickey was with the Bucs and the Bucs have used five of their past eight first-round picks on defensive players with no Tom Brady.

Two of their past three first-rounders were used on offensive linemen ( James Carpenter in 2011 and Russell Okung in 2010), and four of their past six have been used on linemen
Seahawks have been O linemen heavy. And have kept a stout running game for Russell.

LBs,Ss,Gs,TEs and lately RBs seem to lag behind.

Seahawks hit on so many late round picks (esp. on defense) as well as on mid-round picks (e.g Wilson) in the past 5 years that they could afford to go without a 1st, or if they have one pick OL with it.
