So I was talking about some draft strategies with my buddy for our upcoming draft. I have pick 12 so I was going to go Julio Jones/Best RB available probably someone like Murray, McFadden, Forte, or Chris Johnson. He pretty much said I was insane for thinking about taking JJ at 12/13. So just wanted a little input from my fantasy friends here. It is a PPR League so I've thought hard about going 2 RB's maybe Ryan Mathews with one of the aforementioned RB's. I figure at 36/37 I'd be looking at Jordy Nelson, Nicks/Cruz. RB is just so thin this year my plan was really to just load up on 1 rb 3 WR with the first 4 picks then go after RB's like Ryan Williams, Donald Brown, and Kevin Smith in the later rounds.

PPR? I'd look at MJD and McFadden/Forte at 12/13 honestly. Or maybe take Brees or Brady if they fall.

I like it but if anything serious happens to Murray youre dead. How many WR's do you start? May want to move wallace or Jackson who isnt great in PPR if youre only starting 2 and no flex? Tamme is a sell high imo. Not going near him. I think thats flop city. He wasnt that good in indy when Manning was throwing to him...

My other money league team (12 team). I am well aware my WRs aren't that great but there was huge run on them in rounds three and four when I chose to go RB/RB. I'm just happy I snagged Maclin in round six.

    QB - Tom Brady
    RB - DeMarco Murray
    RB - Ryan Mathews
    WR - Jeremy Maclin
    WR - Nate Washington
    TE - Rob Gronkowski
    RB/WR - Darren Sproles
    WR/TE - Jason Witten
    K - Mike Nugent
    DEF - Detroit
    BN - DeAngelo Williams
    BN - Felix Jones
    BN - Santana Moss
    BN - Mike Williams
    BN - Davone Bess
    BN - Danny Amendola

If its a PPR i think it has a good chance to be very good. Washington and Maclin could both catch a ton of passes if theyre healthy. Sproles is always a PPR king. Mathews has massive upside so if you can get through the first 2-3 weeks youre in good shape. Witten worries me though. Lacerated spleens are nothing to sneeze at...my best friend growing up died from that. Someone has to catch passes on crappy teams and Bess Moss and Williams seem to be as good a bet as any.

I liked Witten's chances at the WR/TE slot rather than taking someone like Heyward-Bey or Crabtree. I felt like I could get my current crop of WRs later on (Moss, Williams, Bess, and Amendola) and guys like Williams, Bess, and Amendola aren't players I feel like I have to keep if I have a good feeling about a waiver pick-up. Personally I think having a combo of Brady/Gronk will help push me through games regardless. At least when they are dominating the league I can say "Yeah I hate them but at least I have them on my fantasy team...."

DHB is looking good and i generally dont put much stock in preseason. The catch he made the other day vs Detroit was awesome. Id swap out amendola or jones in a heartbeat.

    12 Team League - PPR, 1-QB, 2-HB, 2-WR, 1-TE, 1-HB/WR/TE, 1-DEF, 1-K

QB - Drew Brees, Joe Flacco
HB - Steven Jackson, DeAngelo Williams, Rashad Jennings, Robert Turbin
WR - Victor Cruz, Dwayne Bowe, Torrey Smith, Justin Blackmon
TE - Jimmy Graham, Aaron Hernandez, Dustin Keller
    DEF - Seattle
    K - John Kasay

Unless Jonathan Stewart stays hurt a while, or MJD comes back early and winds up unhindered, I'm really screwed at RB.

I'm hoping Keller and/or Blackmon emerges as a worthwhile target that I can flip for a HB.

Kinda shallow at Rb unless Ingram breaks through which is entirely possible. WR options after Cruz are average. I like your QBs and TE obviously.

You should be able to flip Bowe or Smith for an RB2. Both of those guys are proven quantities who will get someones attention but Blackmon or Keller will not and by the time one emerges you may be in a hole. Address it early and see if you can find a wr. Blackmon's one you may want to keep based on what hes been doing. Or just wait til someone gets hurt and be the first to pounce.

My draft didn't go as I had hoped. I literally had the guy I was targeting taken 1 pick ahead of me in the first three rounds. Anyways, its a 15 team league, non-PPR, 5pt passing TDs.

    Starters
    QB
    WR
    RB
    TE
    WR/RB/TE
    WR/RB
    K
    Def

    12 player bench

    QB: T. Romo, C. Palmer
    WR: M. Austin, A. Brown, J. Blackmon, T. Smith, D. Amendola, D. Hester
    RB: A. Foster, D. McFadden, D. Murray, D. Wilson, D. Brown, K. Hunter
    TE: G. Olsen, A. Fasano
    K: R. Gould, D. Carpenter
    Def: NYG, Carolina

My TE's are really weak, but I have a RB surplus and I could start three of them.

I honestly couldn't believe I was able to pair up Rodgers and Nelson. I had Jackson tucked away and took him 1 round before I wanted to because I didn't think he was going to be able to hide much longer.

RB's were hard to come by for me. Drafting at 3 I was in a rough spot. Take Ray Rice or take Rodgers. I am hoping that I have enough fire power at QB, TE, and WR to offset the avg power I have at RB.

Your RB's will end up being Ryan Williams imo. Your wr's are solid but you knew that. EVen DHB should be better then most teams 3rd wr imo in your league. Roethlistberger at QB is a risk with his injury issues and wallace reporting late (god knows what shape hes in). Id probably try and see if you cant find an RB starved team and see if you couldnt pair Roethlisberger with Kevin Smith to an RB desperate team and upgrade to an Eli Manning/Tony Romo/Jay Cutler type.

Yeah, I was planning on trading for Eli. The team that has Eli only has McGahee and Shonn Green as RB. But he knows how much I want Eli so I think it would be hard to get from him. I'm really hoping for Ryan Williams to have a great year, and I don't think any other RB on the colts team will take many snaps away from Donald Brown.

I really like Ryan Williams and Ced Benson. I think Benson gets the lion's share of carries and has another 1K season for GB. Alshon Jeffery is also someone I am targeting late. I think you are weak at WR unless Baldwin can step up.

    First pick in the draft

    Format of team is:
    QB
    RB
    RB
    WR
    WR
    RB/WR/TE
    TE
    K
    DEF

    QB-Romo

    RB-Rice/A.Peterson/R.Bush/Benson/K.Hunter/D.McCluster

    WR-Marshall/D.Bryant/Bowe/Blackmon/Amendola/Heyward-Bay

    TE-Celek

    K-nothing right now

    DEF- Buffalo

I currently have a waiver claim for santonio holmes and I would drop mccluster.

Eventually I will sign Carpenter fro my kicker, as usssge.

there is a team that has forte, charles, and c.johnson and VICK as a backup. Trying to work a deal that would give me johnson and vick for a couple of my WRs,probably bowe and bryant.

I think marshall will kill it in ppr and bess is still available so im not to worried about my wrs.

    Thought, ideas?
