Figure I would start a thread on this even so as far as I can see we have yet to put anyone on it, I thought noon was the time we could start doing this. I would imagine Hogan and Root will make it on there, who else are candidates? I'm sure I'm missing someone obvious.
I think Root was waived/injured so that if unclaimed he goes on IR. Source on that is a South Florida journalist however so it's not 100%
as to the practice squad... could be more guys from other teams than from our team... but if I had to look at guys that were with us: Hogan, Wade (assuming he's eligible), Kaddu, Alexcih, Les Brown, Fuller, would be candidates... Funny how we follow the practice squad in early September, yet when mid December rolls around, nobody talks about it.
might not be good news for Hogan as it appears we offered practice squad spots to Palmer and BJ Cunningham.
He wasn't picked up, he signed to their PS. That's not to say we offered him a spot, but we potentially could have.
So I guess we are just having one player on the PS, poor McDonald, he's going to be so lonely! Seriously thought, what the **** is the holdup? Why are they leaving players like Hogan twisting in the wind, why wouldn't you want him on the squad when he was one of your final cuts?
well according to this: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...for-all-32-nfl-teams-case-keenum-joins-texans McDonald isn't on the PS yet. I suppose the Dolphins aren't practicing this weekend and it's not that big of a deal. Other than for the guys that are waiting. I reckon we are going to put Hogan on there, but that's just my guess.
So wait a minute, right now while other teams are stockpiling their PS, we technically got no one on it? Lol, who in the hell are we waiting for? I mean PS are full of scrubs with maybe a gem or two if any at all, who we are going to sign from another team's cut that is going to be worth a damn? You would think adding Hogan and Fuller would be a given by now, unless they're not interested.
I think you're overreacting a little. Likely everyone who still practiced Friday even though they were cut is likely on our PS.
Maybe I am, but finding out last night that these players can sign with anyone but us kinda worries me, I just find it hard to believe there wasn't ONE player that we cut we wouldn't want on our PS, I know its a business but at the same time show a little loyalty to the players who stuck it out during training camp and did a good job. Why make them twist in the wind like this UNLESS you have it verbally know to them they will be on it, they just want - for some reason - time to make it official. BTW, here is a list from last night on the teams PS so far: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/02/late-saturday-night-practice-squad-one-liners/
Again, I am sure there are people we cut at the end of Friday that we want on our PS. You're overreacting to nothing IMO.
Bro, I just admitted I probably am, how many times are you going to tell me that? I'm also trying the process especially from our FO perspective.
Somewhat related I listened to Drew and Joe Rose , an interview from Friday , he said he expected 5 to 6 waiver pick ups and 2 trades and that he felt the Vonte trade return was for that purpose. He also mentioned the trade really hit the players negatively and that is something you need to be aware of ,but did not criticize ( of course ) Ireland for looking long term.
Fellas, how many players have spent time on the PS never to play very much at all? I think Kaddu landing on the PS sucketh, but otherwise cannot get to worked up over the PS
I wouldn't mind stealing Lamont Bryant from Carolinas PS. He had a hammy issue early in camp and only played in the final Carolina game but he flashed and was a obvious target for his size and vert Bryant is a 6-foot-5, 229-pounder who has played wide receiver/tight end He ran the 40-yard dash between 4.39 and 4.45 seconds at his Pro Day He also registered a 43-inch vertical leap, a 10-8 broad jump benched and benched 225 pounds 19 times
Pads, if 7/11 makes it then thats all I care about, us Jersey guys got to stick together. He's my boy.
