Her name is Rowan and we just got a call from her mom that she has the Swine Flu. They caught it early and she is being treated for it. A little goodwill and happy thoughts can't hurt. Thanks all. Yes, I am a Grandfather, skipped the whole father thing fortunately.
I will be praying for your granddaughter. May she defeat the swine flu rapidly and be back to normal health ASAP. God bless your family.
Of course you have my well wishings brother, interestingly enough, my youngest came down with Type A over the weekend. They won't confirm nor deny that its pig-flu, but immediately administered Tamaflu. She seems to be kicking it pretty well. Already bounced back and is jumping all over the house. EDIT: Okay, I got the straight scoop from Mama. As I mentioned, my youngest does indeed have Type A, which they say means she has over a 90% probability of having the infamous Swine Flu. The deal is, it takes them a couple of days to actually test for Swine, and they dont want to wait that long SOOOOoooo, at least in the Dallas Area (I happen to know that is where Jimmy's Grandaughter lives.... I think?) they are treating ALL Type A as Swine Flu...That means, they go on Tamaflu immediately. We took Kailey in Sunday Morning at about 2:30AM, and she started the Tama Flu Sunday at about 6:00 AM. She is all Rock and Roll when I got home today.... I guess what I am trying to say, is if she is healthy going into this, and they get her on the TamaFlu immediately, she should make a very speedy recovery. I will say, I guess that is some FOUL tasting stuff. Kailey will try just about anything, and if we joke around with her, she will even try it twice, even if she didnt like it the first time. We have to bribe and plead with her to take this stuff however....
just some warning..a very common symptom and curve ball of swine flu is feeling better, before the illness has actually ran its course. even if your little patient is feeling better, still treat them as if they are still ill, and dont let your guard down. Ope, prayers for your grand-daughter. you too Az.
Thanks for the heads up brother, very heart felt Mama has indeed stayed home from work with her the last three days, and have been giving her the Tamaflu (I am tempted to try it cause she makes a souraibeer face then shudders after taking it ) She will go back to daycare tomorrow, but we will still keep an eye on her. Actually, out of 17 kids in her particular class, she is the fourth we know of to have it, so it is pretty prevelent here.
Op's, she will be fine, they know alot more about the current strain thats around and she'll be ok. on a lighter note, youre an old dude.
Glad to hear your daughter is doing well AZ and mine and my family's prayers for your grand daughter op.....what a cute little girl she is;]
Glad to hear that she is feeling better. I will continue to pray for a speedy recovery. God bless you.
Rowan is taking her medicine like a champ and doing fine so far. Hopefully they caught it early enough to fight it off before it takes hold. Yes, Kenny, they're in the Fort Worth area.
