Since a few days before the Jets game and including last night, Ive been having problems sleeping. Ive been dreaming about football. Sporano, Pennington, Brown, Andre Goodman and Yeremiah Bell flashing before my eyes in dream sequences. I think ive been struck with some strain of DolphinsMania thats sweeping South Florida and the country. Or Im just completely nervous about the playoffs and not being used to being in this position...
...either way, I just havent been able to sleep or not dream about football almost every night since the Jets game. Anyone else having this problem?

You're not used to it. You're 22, right? Your team hasn't had a playoff game since 2001, so its been 7 years since you've witnessed a playoff game, you were 15 at the time. You're not used to it, you're going crazy, and rightfully so.
It could be worse. You could be like me. If the Jets have a home game (I'm a season ticket holder), I can not sleep. I go to bed around midnight and wake up between 4:30 and 7:30, every time, usually closer to 4:30. Its a pain in the ***.
Either way, enjoy it.
Get drunk tonight while you watch the playoff games so you can sleep!!FinSane likes this. -

I love this felling. Its anticipation, and I haven't felt like this since I was in grade school. Thats when every game had this feeling to me. Now I find myself doing household projects I have put off for months, just so the time passes more quickly.
And as wonderful as this site is, it doesn't help me one single bit with getting my mind off of the game tomorrow. Darn site! :lol:dolfan32323 likes this. -

Yeah, I feel the same way dude. I'm 17 right now, and in my mind the best Dolphins game I've ever watched live and remember fully is the Dolphins/Colts playoff game where Lamar Smith won it in overtime. I have watched games on tape that my dad recorded from when I was little..like the Dolphins/Jets in '94 etc.

I've been watching these guys for over 30 years and I don't think I've ever felt so anxious. My stomach feels awful and weird like i'm full all the time.
If I took any thing, this would be the time.
I swear, I've been having anxiety attacks off and on all week. My Dr. has me on meds for that, so I'll make it through. Having an anxiety dis order, plus all this is really taken it's toll on me.
BUT, in a big way it's a good thing. I just wish I cold calm down.
It's kind of sad that a game can make us feel so nervous, isn't it? :wink2:
I'm glad others feel the same. atleast I know I'm not going nuts by myself.
I just wish I were with some die hard fans to share with. But, I can't get any one here up for the game and it's so dang hard.
I even cry when I watch the interviews etc. on Aquavision. A bundle of emotions---that's me! -
OK, who knows that commercial for Disneyland, where that little boy, who won't go to bed, says "I'm too excited to sleep!"

I became addicted to sudoku this week in an attempt to keep my mind off the game. It didn't work. Now I just think about the game and play sudoku all the time.

I just find myself getting excited and having a hard time waiting for the next game to start. I felt the same exact way when my Phillies won the World Series...but a Superbowl Championship would be like dying and going to heaven. These past few months have been way more than I could have ever asked for and I feel like I am playing with house money.

Im not used to this playoffs stuff... Its pretty intense for me, Ive been thinking alot about it all week... But, I'll sleep tonight.. Im good and drunk... Ive had 6 keith's red beers, followed by a bottle of red wine. im good to nap, and wake up nice and early and prepare for gameday!
GO PHINS!!! -
I'm anxious to look past this game, but being underdogs the whole season, I'm taking it a game at a time. We're so much better than the last time 'ol Cam was in town, and I'd be expecting a low scoring, highly defensive performance from both teams. Ravens defense is amazing, and, of course, so is ours.
Let's hope we can all be having sleepless nights next weekend as well.:hi5:FinSane likes this. -

Its funny because i used to say the only good thing about your team not making the playoffs is being able to watch real good football games.... i mean last year's playoffs were amazing. Great games and you did not have to worry about your team losing so you could just enjoy the game. Now i realize i did not know what i was missing by my team not being in the playoffs. Last time i was able to see miami play a playoff game i was about 12.

Maybe get to doin a little more of this :hump: it's healthier for ya.
