Seriously, its been awhile but what happened to the Labor day opening weekends?
What a bunch of crap. Preseason shouldn't last past the last weekend of August. -
They made a conscientious decision to start the season the week after Labor day a number of years ago. The reason is money. They found that viewership during the holiday weekend wasn't nearly as high as they wanted.

1. Jacksonville at Miami
2. Carolina at Miami
3. Miami at Tampa Bay (FOX, 8/27)
4. Miami at New Orleans

I believe so. Teams are always playing games withing the same region.

The teams set-up their preseason games. The league has nothing to do with the scheduling of the preseason, however they do set up the HoF game and deal with the national tv games on ESPN and NBC.femalefinfan likes this.
