According to a recent ESPN article, the jets only real draft day need is S. Given their tendency to mortgage their draft to trade up in the first to get their man, I have this sick feeling we are going to see Berry in a Jest uniform...

Bring him on. Maybe they trade all their pick to us for him if he drops that far. I would trade with them.

Why haven't we signed Darren Sharper yet?

I don't think the Jets have enough leverage to get Berry.

Think about it. Who are they going to trade with that high who will want what the Jets are offering in return? If I'm in the top 5, and I need an impact player right away, why the **** would you wanna move down to 29?

Assuming Berry goes in the top 8 picks, I don't think Jets will be able to pull this off.

I don't see it happening. IMO they are targeting a nose tackle. I think there are three options for them; Alualu, Cody and Joseph. I'm banking on Alualu but we'll see.

Safety is not that big of a need, IMO.

Brodney Pool was a very solid pickup this offseason, and it has gone overlooked because of all the big names. He was the 34th pick in the '05 draft, very close to being a first rounder.

He claims he has had only one true concussion in his career. However, he has struggled with migraine headaches. Only has had 9 missed games over his 5-year NFL career.

He has easily played better than Kerry Rhodes the past two years. Much more physical, which is what Rex needs in this defense. Kerry just wouldn't fit in this system at FS because he was afraid to lay the wood. Pool isn't. Also, he has gotten more interceptions as of late.

Pool/Leonhard/Smith should be a fine rotation. Would not be too pleased if they draft a safety, unless someone like Earl Thomas really slips.
