Sad news, at least for me. I have been buying their publications for around 25 years, and have dozens on my shelf. I don't buy them for every game anymore, but I do get them for the big RPG titles. They're not only a fantastic resource of information, but also a beautiful product that I can look through whenever and where ever I want to (including long car trips).
Their guides have been my main window into the world of Final Fantasy games for a long, long time. More recently, they've been my introduction to the worlds of The Witcher and Fallout before I ever put the disc into my PS4.

The Versus guide for Phantasy Star Online was a life saver. I also miss getting the gaming magazines with the demo discs back in the day. Time and technology have moved on though and digital downloads are so much easier.

I am thankful that game art books seem to be at least filling a void left behind. I've bought a number of those for Dragon Age, FF and AC games.

They hold up amazingly well. I have some dating back to the 90s. Some of my oldest possessions now.
