Taylor for a second-round pick is a fleecing all right. It's the Dolphins that did the fleecing.

Prisco is right on IMO.dolphan117 likes this. -
On the field, the move isn't very good for the Redskins.
From a business standpoint, its great for them. Redskins radio has been touting it as some sort of great move, the fans are buying it too. -

There's no doubt that JT improved against the run as he got older, but he's never been considered a "run-stopping DE" by any stretch of the imagination... I wonder if it wouldn't be in their best interests to swap Carter and Taylor...Muck said it best....they got another RDE instead of the LDE that they needed...

i think they gave up a lot, but landing JT is still a win for them. Just because they lost a run defender doesn't mean they can't use a pass defender who perennially is at the top of the league in sacks.
a generally good deal for both sides IMO, assuming they get JT to play more than one year. -
I don't know how we were able to get a 2nd for Taylor but Jeff is looking like a genius right now.

You can't go into the delivery room and point out a kids imperfections to the new parents bro!
They aint gonna listen!
I remember the warnings from Bears fans to us when Hurricane Stash came hear to tear down our once proud franchise. They got blasted as well.
Besides, JT is going to do some good for them. Deliver some excitement during passing downs in between getting shoved down the field on runs.Last edited: Jul 21, 2008padre31 likes this. -
If it was just some speculation, then fine, but King got some real specific info in there. -

Thats a great article. Nice find, couldnt agree more with it myself. I find it amusing how it seems alot of media outlets are bashing us for getting ripped off in this trade... I just dont see it. Maybe its because im a phins fan... but come on, a 2nd and a 6th for a guy who's going to play out of his natural position, for 1... maybe two years, and we get rid of a guy who was becoming a distraction? how isnt that a good deal for us? I guess maybe its a bad deal for us in the sense that all were left with is memories now... at least theyre great ones though!

Sounds alot like the Welker for a #2 and a 6th doesn't it?
:wink2:
