Disclaimer: I've never liked this guy at all. Always feel he's been anti-Miami. Nevertheless, this is a pretty good writer up: http://www.cbssports.com/#!/nfl/story/14966135/top-100-dazzling-qb-duo-cant-get-separation Had two Dolphins in the top 35: The #1 OT was Jake Long, #23 overall. Good call there. At #31 overall and #5 among all OLB's, was Cameron Wake. Pretty sweet call there from Prisco (just the type of player in the past that he would underrate on the Dolphins). The four OLBs ahead of Wake: Ware, Clay Matthews, Harrison, & Tamba Hall (#27). Fair enough. Might get some debate over Wake V Hall (but Hall did finish second in sacks and may be a bit more versatile). Brandon Marshall cracked the top 100 at #76 (given last season, that could be gracious). Also liked the fact that he had Urlacher at #82. I struggle to abide those who think Urlacher is an elite, top 30 type player. He's a good MLB but not HOF worthy and largely he's up there b/c he's with the Bears, he's big, strong and fast, has a great football name, and can make some plays. But, he's just not nearly as much of a big playmaker or consistent ILB the way so many others are. Interesting list, anyhow.
My only major complaints about the list: - First and foremost Roddy White 17 spots behind Jason Whitten is *** backwards and flat out crackheaded. Whiten may be the best at his position but has three good WR's and a good running game opening things up for him. White has an aging Tony Gonzalez and a good running game. The rankings should be reversed. - Jake Long not in the Tony Bosselli, Walter Jones class? Really? Why then did LOng not give up a sack til his shoulder started bothering him? Minor complaint but while those guys were more of a technician type at LT Long is more of a mauler and a phenom as a run blocker.
Hard to take any list seriously that has Mario Williams ahead of Ben Roethlisberger, or Julius Peppers ahead of Philip Rivers.
I would. And why is Suh at 12? I realize he was an animal last year but it was his rookie year. EDIT: Same for Arian Foster.
Suh at 12 over PHILIP RIVERS PATRICK WILLIS AND DARELLE REVIS? And Haloti Ngata, and Jake Long, and, Adrian Peterson, and Larry Fitzgerald, and James Harrison....and...and....just wow Prisco.
