to take a break from the other crap. Will be interesting to see this year, while these guys are playing harder, which side of the ball gets the better of the other. Will defense trump offense when top talent is involved?
I wanna watch the trenches to see how they do against each other as a whole. If D-line takes it to their counterpart, it'd justify just how significant it is to have a great defensive front and bevy of pass rushers, even at the expense of leaving needs open elsewhere.
That's always been my thought.... but it'll be fun to watch that proved on the field with it being a controlled experiment- best Oline vs best Dline.
yup. Doesn't even look like Pro Bowlers vs Pro Bowlers. That's why I'd take another pass rusher in the 1st this year if Oline permits.
Just goes to show defense trumps offense with all things being equal. Also shows the importance of offensive playmakers and how they can help get you out of otherwise precarious situations.
It should be a million dollar bonus to make the pro bowl, paid by a league fund, or half league fund/half owner provided by the player's respective team. It'd give these guys incentive to play hard and make it an even better experience, would be a great source of income for young guys on inexpensive first year contracts, and it might motivate guys on first year contracts to work that much harder during the regular season.
That would create a huge problem for offensive players, QBs would be checking into throws more than often...RB's would ***** to coaches when the "goal line" back comes in...and Mike Wallace would've punched RT in the face.
Who goes to the bench? Or are we playing a new 6-0-5 defense?? Actually with our LB play, that may be a decent idea.
Ealy would play RE with Jordan at OLB. At least he has the size to limit the run and keep Jordan clean as a closed end. Consolation prize for not getting Ansah.
Alfred Morris catching more passing in this game than his two year career in Washington..... plus picking up some yardage after the catch.
make that 4 catches now by Morris against the best talent in football and looks good doing so.... verse 9 catches all year in Wash. LMAO.
well, apparently these Pro Bowl QBs have more trust in him to catch a dump off and run for some yards than Shanahan. Hasn't dropped a single one and looks good in space. Not sure what the friggin' problem was, especially after he worked hard last season to improve his receiving ability. Drafted him first in my Clemson league b/c of what we're seeing from him here. Thought he'd catch 35-45 passes this year.
