Not sure where to post this but I am having a problem with my computer. I recently replaced the power supply. The computer was running good but today I went to sleep and when I woke up it was off. So I start trying to restart it and it is dead. I then try to disconnect wires to trouble shoot it. I notice that when I unplug the 4 pin connector the computer won't turn on. It will seem to try but then it will just not turn on.

Suggestions on what the problem might be? I installed the old power supply and it works fine. So im pretty sure it's not the mother board.

It certainly seems like the new power supply has issues either compatibility-wise or a manufacturing defect. See if you can get it swapped.

Never really heard much about that brand. And Compusa is horrible when it comes to returning even with receipt. No wonder why they're out of business.
