Thesmokinggun.com had a piece about all the vanity plates that were denied by the Florida DMV. A few of my favorites that were not allowed: MUFFDVR, ASSMAN (Seinfeld) and for those Chevy Imapala lovers, PIMPALA.
I guess they figure the Seminoles have Casinos and a College, they're set. -

Hispanics are typically much louder than the Seminoles. -
Yeah, how can you 'discover' a 'state', that has already been populated? The Seminole Indians were here LONG before the Spanish. Technically, pretty much NO place in history was discovered. The South Pacific had the Tahiitians, the Australians had the Aborigines, the Northern Pacific had the Hawaiians, the South Americans had the Incas, Mayans, Aztecs, and so on. If they want to make a plate, make one for the Native Americans. They were here first. JMHO :theu:

Same with Peru.
Spain brought genocide and death and thus civilization. -
In all fairness the spanish first realized it was a new land thus opening it up to conquest. -

ummm, actually, no they weren't. The Spaniards were here several hundred years BEFORE what we call the Seminoles moved south into Florida.. our indigenous Indians died out due to the diseases the Spaniards introduced. Sorry Jaydog....PMZQ, Section126 and unluckyluciano like this. -
Don't these "hispanic achievers" know the difference between spaniards and hispanics.

Now the Tequesta Indians lived in Florida many centuries ago, but had long since abandoned Florida possibly around 400 or 500 AD.
To say that Hispanics discovered Florida, is true, but who really built up Florida ? Americans who came to Florida after the Civil War, and then in another wave after Henry Flagler built the railroads into Fla in the late 1890s through the early 1900's.
But why do we need this kind of licence plate ? Why not make plates about things that bring people together, instead of trying to "in your face" about ethnicity ?Section126, unluckyluciano and cnc66 like this. -

Why all the concern about "Hispanic?" What about MY panic? :tantrum:
