I didn't see it posted yet but lets give some props to Merling for making a huge play yesterday....i know Brett threw the ball right to him but Merling recognized the screen and made the play

plus he was great in there stopping the run, he played a great all around game...

did something happen to Langford that Merling was in there so much this game?

Yeah, as the play developed and I saw him stop rushing and start fading to his left I thought quietly that perhaps he could knock down the screen pass. He did so so much better. Mad Props to him!! A veteran play by a rookie!!

Favre DIDN'T throw it right to him. Merling diagnosed the play, and fell back into coverage, much to Favre's chagrin. It was almost a textbook interception. Read, react, execute.

What was moreimpressive to me was the broken tackles and rumble into the endzone. The best part? He is only going to get better...

That play was huge, what a read by merling. I also want to add how he switched the ball to the other hand a couple of times to keep going and avoid the strip in order to get to the endzone.

That was a beauty pick 6 by our rook. What a stellar draft choice.
