didnt the patriots draft a kicker who kicks it out the back of the end zone and gets a touch back just about every time?

Gostkowski gets a fair amount of touch backs, but his current season ratio is 13(TBs) to 30 (returns).

    This. :knucks:

I do think this is normal Patsies stuff though. Every week they come about how Player X is great and blah blah. Same old, same old from their crew.

As Padre has already pointed out, there are new faces blocking for Ginn, and it showed. Especially on his second TD. Yeah, he did make Larry Izzo and crew hug some air, but he also got two key blocks that kept him from getting tackled in our own end. Including one by Chris Clemons that kept Ginn at speed, making Strickland's angle a useless one.

Plus, our ST guys were and are now pumped. When your guy starts taking it to the house, you just want to work that much harder to keep it up. I hope they can.

Other way around Sick, it would be better if Sheets fielded the kick, and then to have Ginn run the reverse ala the Bills game, it would look alot like a Jet Sweep on a kick off, if Sheets kept the ball he heads up the middle, other wise Ginn just runs for the corner of the blocking scheme.

Sort of, if Ginn fielded the ball, whomever went on the reverse, Hartline, maybe Sheets, would have the benefit of the kick coverage focusing on Ginn.

It almost seems like Belichic talks up his opposition, to sort of inflate their heads. As opposed to talking smack and pissing the opposition off (Rex Ryan), this way if anything would give the opposition a false sense of accomplishment.

This is probably far off, I am just talking out loud.

You're not far off at all. I would say the Jets and Pats both exhibit poor sportsmanship; the Pats simply keep it on the field.

This is good news. I don't expect Ginn to return another two for TDs or anything (the all-time season record is four) but I do expect that the gunners will stay in their lanes a bit longer before collapsing in. That could create more space inside and provide better starting field position for our offense.

Another thing they might try is more directional kicking to shrink the field. But this can result in a few out of bounds kicks. I also think it sets up for Ginn's strength.

Of course they may just be so scared that they kick them all out of bounds or just squib kick every time. I would be fine with that as well.

naw bb just doesn't want to add extra fuel I would think.

I also think as much as we may despise the guy, he does it to be a little classier.

now the question is do they kick away from him, most likely resulting in a bad kick? or do they squib a few times and count on their old banged up D?

My thoughts exactly. If i was a special teamer and outside containment was my job then I would be extra careful with Ginn after seeing what he did against the Jets.
