Can you jump into this midway through the franchise? Sorry, there's 11 pages and I'm a lazy bum. Been wanting to get into the Franchise mode on Madden, but for the same reason as the OP I can't deal with all the kids that play these things, I'd blow a gasket. If not, I'd definitely be down to jump in the next time one of these starts up, or during the next offseason

Hey man, things have been busy lately. I'm working like a dog (posting this here at work on a Sat!) and my new Hockey season opened, and I'm on 2 1/2 teams. The 1/2 team whenever I feel like it, or there is no conflicts with my other two teams I committed to. I'll get on bro just a matter of time. Don't let me hold things up though.

So what happened? Did it get simmed, or something? I've lost two in a row with under a minute left in the 4th quarter so I'm not as eager to play this week.
That must of hurt to fumble the ball with in the 6 yard line with less than 40 seconds left, allowing a 70 yard pass to Todd Heap, and allowing me to kick the field goal to send it into over time.
There was a point in the 4th quarter where I was down by over 2 touchdowns where I thought I just lost that game. I still cannot believe I won
Well... I was a bonehead. I prolly coulda run out the clock, no? I think I tried to punch it in from the six inch line to seal the game. Part of the prob for me is, sometimes I can;t see the timeouts an opponent has because the bottom of my screen obscures the little lines under the team icons... so I end up just figuring I can;t kneel down, so I try to move the ball. Anyways, I prolly shoulda knelt down to run out the clock. My bad. You earned that win with that bomb after getting the ball back and the OT performance. Painful as hell though, yes. And I just lost Adrian Peterson for 4 weeks. Just hoping I can make the playoffs.
But we must be advancing the week soon, no? We have games coming up this Sunday. Y'all better sort it out or you'll have to kill someone!

Okay, it's week 8 and we're still on week 7 in franchise. Honestly, it's a bit annoying to fall behind by a week. We used to advance by Monday...then Tuesday, recently it was Thursday, then Satruday... now the NFL week is gonna be past and we haven;t advanced. I don't wanna be a dick, but it really gets in the way of being enthusiastic to play games when every time you sign on to play your game it still isn't advanced. Kinda makes you de-prioritize it.
had to wait for games to be played, hosted a show this morning, then watched the dolphins game....havent gotten on my ps3.....sorry bro. if this is how everyone feels, please have your games played by thursday......cause iam advancing thursday night.
Probably Tuesday. I have to work tomorrow and then I have classes after work. Tuesday is the night I get the TV all to myself.
I hate even saying anything, Sick, becuase you have been AWESOME. You even took over commissionning for me because *I* was dragging my feet. And this isn;t your fault, really, it's just about people getting their games played or us advancing them through simulation if they don;t get it done. I think because I lost two straight I have just been edgy as hell to get back to a game so I can wash the taste out of my mouth, is all. Anyways, thanks for listening to me gripe. lol. Hey, do we have a trade deadline turned on? Does anyone care? Personally I like making trades late in the season, when ya need them, but some people don;t like it.
i dont think its turned on.....i have 2 really good running backs if someone needs one.....but i need a good young qb or multiple dbs in return
Sick, ya need ta change the league settings to no trade deadline. Its saying no trades after wk 6. Why a young QB? I have some 77 corners. That too low to help?

Actually, looking around online, I think EASports made MAdden 10 with an ALWAYTS ON trade deadline for online franchise. I don't think we can turn it off. Which sucks. I guess we could agree on a trade, release players and the other person could sign them if everyone else promised not to sign them as free agents. That's the only workaround I can think of.
but i end the season week 15- vikings (bpk) week 16- giants (asraf) and week 17- saints phew....gunna be tough
Tougher than you think.... to be perfect you gonna have to win out through the playoffs AND the Superbowl! You'll be facing some human opponenets a FEW times. (hope I even MAKE the danged playoffs). So.. no way to do trades on an ohonor system, then? Releasing players and letting your trade partner pick them up as long as we announce it here? I am in some bad need of help since Peterson went down.
ya that works.....its like the waiver wire.....we just announce it, and if someone ****s with it.....ill boot them from the league, turn "trade w/computers" on.....get the player back....and let them back in the league
