Ok, so I know xbox live downloads are tied to your gamertag, so if you lose your HD or something (or delete content), you could always re-download it.

Well there are some games coming out on PSN that I am interested in (Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Wild Arms (2?)), but I didn't know how those were tied into my user account. Like, if my console dies will I have to repurchase those titles, or would I be able to download them on a new console? Or would I just have to swap the dead consoles hard drive for the new one?

I just don't want to pay for the digital copy of this stuff if I might have to rebuy it if I get a new console.

In the account screen, there's a list of items you bought (you can also re-download here). I'm guessing (strictly a guess) that if you switched PS3s and put your PSN login into the new one (or HD duh) as long as you dont have two different PS3's connecting to PSN with the login, they'll let you download your stuff over again.

Ok, because I could have swore either the wii or ps3, the downloads were strictly tied to the console.

yeah that's actually a way people share games too. like if you get marvel vs capcom 2 for $15, three people can go in on it and it only costs them $5 a person.

There's a massive thread on Cheap *** Gamer where people split the cost of the games. I've just been too lazy or untrusting to join thier groups.

    here's the link to CAG:

Me too!!! That's why I've been looking at the CAG threads. I just don't know how to start it up. i think you need pay pal. also, i think everybody has to be in on buying the same games in the future or something (not sure about that though).

Also Stitches, the PS3 allows you to back up videos on an external hard drive in case anything happens and I am assuming games are the same thing.

Also I am up for splitting the cost of some games anytime...and Stitches PSN has a lot of great games out there like Flower and Fat Princess. PSN like I've said before is vastly underrated from my experience.

Well I have paypal. We could do a split thing here amongst ourselves (anyone on this site I mean), and avoid the huge CAG community.
