Has this been ok'ed with the owners of this site?

I sent them a message now asking, but I can't see why it wouldn't be ok. It's a cool Dolphins Q&A.

Do I get selected if a tell the media to F--- off?

I'd rather get to have a beer off-the-record with someone who can tell me what's really going on.

Because I think before you come here and announce this contest, it should probably be vetted that you are who you say you are. I don't think that's silly or crazy.

Give it a chance. Read some of the other threads, if you haven't, and get the feel. At the moment, there is a lot of tension, and not a little melting down (myself included), because of the events going on right now.

My post above was an inside joke with lmeister3 from having to do with another thread after last game. I can see on first glance it wouldn't seem to make sense at all.

Anyway, like I said, just read through some of the threads. You'll get the feel of things around here and some of the personalities. One thing we all -- except maybe Bickety Bam and arodgers13 and a couple others -- have in common is that we all have this crazy, stupid love for the Miami Dolphins.

I appreciate your post and I can appreciate you guys are a tight knit family Fin D. That coupled with your crazy dumb love for the Dolphins is exactly why I posted here. I'm the Social Media Director for a sports app company called SportsManias. We're partnering up with the Miami Herald and will be hosting a Google Hangout with their top Dolphins beat writer, Adam Beasley, on Monday. You can check his twitter and see that he retweeted us yesterday announcing this Q&A session. My first thought was that die hard Dolphins fans would be interested in talking to the beat writer who's job it is to cover the team 24/7!

I completely understand the scepticism, I guess I'm kind of naive to the level of trust on the internet. Since I know where I'm coming from I didn't think of the fact that you guys can't be sure this is legit.
