Not going to sugar coat it, and just picked up some random QBs... Over their Last 3 Games... A. Rodgers= 81 atts, 55 comp (68%), 675 yds (8.3 YPA), 9 TDs, 130 QBR... P. Dalton= 105 atts, 66 comp (63%), 653 yds (6.2 YPA), 4 TDs, 2 INTs, 85 QBR... Some numbers to ponder... Update Stats in Post # 52...
They gotta keep it up though...their 4 game stretch should end up looking pretty good too...after that it gets a little dicey. Nice to see, nonetheless.
Not too shabby. Highest completion percentage for Tanny and surprisingly the YPA is not as low as one might expect. was listening to the Miami sports talk radio station today 790 i think it is. they were discussing who you'd rather have right now for one game Jay Cutler or Ryan Tannehill. Fanboyism aside id take Tannehill. Cutler is still making the big mistakes we saw Tanny making year 1 & 2.
Lol...t minus 5 mins till haters show up with some stat or something to show how this doesnt mean anything..
From what I saw, some others said he flipped out on a tirade that got removed...didn't see it myself.
Wow..never would imagine that. One thing he has alwayd done was stay pretty even keeled..even when we plead no more Tannekill stat threads
Yup, it had everything to do with Philbin's wishy washiness. Nothing to do with a first time offensive coordinator installing a new offense with a young quarterback, with a line that has 5 new guys. Playing 3 full games together, getting to know the offense and building experience.
First of all, that's not what Snips said. He merely pointed out that the OP's numbers illustrate how Tannehill has been since X point in time. He didn't say the benching talk caused the good play. Secondly, all you're doing is proving you're too emotionally invested in Philbin hate to see this in any other way then, "Philbin sucks at all things", hence why you misinterpreted what he said and then over reacted based on that misinterpretation.
Based on what he wrote, I don't see how. But let's say I'm wrong (and maybe I actually am wrong), did his post really deserve to get the snarky response it did?
You are correct fin d, simply referencing the point in time. The stats in this thread go back to that moment. I guess you can say "since the raiders game" but we all know what went down that week
I didn't say it did deserve a "snarky" response. We have stats here tracking his last three games, which he has played well in, and comparing those stats to other QB's. I don't think the point was to try to pin down a cause for his play, just to illustrate how his play has been. By labeling it as the "benching" game, or whatever, it kind of changes the narrative of the thread.
Can be spun either way. "Look how ridiculous philbin was to consider benching a guy whose out performing luck, kaepernick and wilson!" Or "Philbins a genius for lighting a fire under his ***!" Imo, lot more to do with firing up lazor. (What a great sentence) simply put, hes calling better plays for his personnel in the last three then he did in the first three games
I read on ESPN's power rankings that Blake Bortles had the lowest QBR of any winning QB since the inception of the stat.
Tannehill leads the league in Completion % for the month of october, he is at 72, topping Peyton Mannings 70.8
I'm hoping to see Tannehill feast on Jacksonville. He has to get his TD number higher without adding to his INT's similar to last week. He hasn't thrown more than 3 TD's in a game while Derek Carr did against SD. I'd love to see him throw 4 (or more) against JAX with no INT's. His TD% and YPA are keeping his rating down and he needs to show he can improve on them.
I'm just taking it one game at a time. Tannehill is on a good run right now, I just hope he keeps it up against the Jags. No picks, no turnovers, smart choices, plays made. We need to win that game, so in order to win he (Tannehill) needs to put on.
Jags have a good D Line. Tannehill has played 10 really good to great quarters of the last 12. The problem is the two bad quarters were really, really bad. I hope that he has turned the corner now and Lazor has a better feel for what he does well and what he doesn't. His numbers over the last three games seem to bear that out and now it is back to the one thing we have all said, he needs to be consistent. I think he can do it and I think he will do it.
Wow...i would not have guessed that before this thread showed up, very impressive especially with Manning in the same sentence.
I am very happy that Tanny and the offense are doing so well now and I am hoping that it is because they all finally have played together long enough in Lazor's offense that they are starting to click on all cylinders and awesome job Tanny starting to play like a top ten pick...just keep it up guys and keep getting better and better....things are looking brighter in Miami finally
Based on your tone and misunderstanding/misrepresenting of what was said? No, not at all. You do think Philbin is a really bad coach and you've wanted him gone for awhile now. Where is this huge leap in logic I'm making based on those things?
I may have misunderstood Snips intent with his post, however I don't think it is out of the realm of understanding that one could read what I read into it. It is not like he said, "Philbin likes cats" and then I jumped at an opportunity to disparage Philbin.
QB Stats Since the Oakland Game through Last Monday OK guys and gals, though I would bring these stats up currently through Monday 11/10/2014... Some stats are for an added two or some were for three games since the first post on the thread. I did not add the Thursday Night Game against the Bills because the other teams have not played yet. I have also added the teams' record after week three... A. Rodgers= 149 atts, 101 comp (69%), 1,408 yds (9.6 YPA), 16 TDs, 2 INTs, 130 QBR... 5-1... T. Brady= 197 atts, 133 comp (68%), 1,601 yds (8.1), 18 TDs, 1 INT, 121 QBR... 5-1... P. Manning= 242 atts, 165 comp (68%), 2,098 yds (8.7 YPA), 21 TDs, 6 INTs, 114 QBR... 5-1... T. Romo= 151 atts, 103 comp (68%), 1,308 yds (8.6 YPA), 11 TDs, 2 INTs, 114 QBR...5-2... R. Tannehill= 195 atts, 135 comp (69%), 1,490 yds (7.6 YPA), 11 TDs, 5 INT's, 100 QBR... 4-2... P Rivers= 151 atts, 101 comp (67%), 1,196 yds (7.9 YPA), 11 TDs, 7 INTs, 96 QBR... 3-3... A. Luck= 226 atts, 135 comp (60%), 1,780 yds (7.9 YPA), 13 TDs, 5 INTs, 95 QBR... 4-1... C. Kaepernick= 165 atts, 101 comp (61%), 1,254 yds (7.6 YPA), 6 TDs, 1 INT, 94 QBR... 3-2... D. Brees= 259 atts, 174 comp (67%), 1,953 yds (7.5 YPA), 13 TDs, 8 INTs, 93 QBR... 3-2... J. Cutler= 175 atts, 117 comp (67%), 1,359 yds (7.8 YPA), 8 TDs, 6 INTs, 91 QBR...1-4... R. Wilson= 172 atts, 102 comp (59%), 1,167 yds (6.8 YPA), 5 TDs, 4 INTs, 80 QBR... 4-2... A. Dalton= 197 atts, 116 comp (59%), 1,238 yds (6.2 YPA), 6 TDs, 8 INTs, 71 QBR... 2-3-1... Take these numbers for what ever is worth...
It is amazing how good Tannehill has been since the offence started using some zone read runs, which the fans had been screaming for since he was drafted.
