Hey everyone, I'm looking for advice about what to do for law school. I just graduated this year from undergrad and am set right now to attend the University of Pittsburgh or the University of Denver next year for law school. I had no qualms about this until recently. I really want to live and work in Virginia/DC, but would be equally happy in Colorado. However, I keep hearing more and more how important it is to go to a top 20 school.... both Pitt and DU are ranked 69 and are understandably very regional. Has anyone here who has attended law school have any suggestions as to whether or not it is beneficial to take time off prior to attending law school? My GPA is fine (3.4 from a well-regarded institution), but my LSAT was a bit low (158). I was thinking I could take time off, maybe take a few classes at the local college, and reapply next year with a higher LSAT. If anybody who has insight to the process would share their thoughts I would appreciate it.
