I am going to sell my X-Box 360 tomorrow. I was checking everything tonight making sure it was all working fine when I noticed something disturbing. I have a 20GB HD that came with the X-Box 360 Arcade I bought on Black Friday as part of a deal. The 20GB HD was refurbished, but looked good in condition. Now that I am trying to sell it, I just noticed the system says it only has 13.6 GB free. I am wondering where the rest of the 6.4 GB are. I went to the System Settings then to Memory and I have: 230 MB for Games 220 KB for Gamer Profiles 28 MB for Themes 3 MB for Gamer Pictures I am pretty sure that doesn't add up to 20GB though. Does anyone know whats going on or what I can do to get it back up to 20GB?? I really, really appreciate everyones input. Thank you, ******ed Gamer
Also when I put a game in it to play it, the X-box 360 gets considerably louder. I haven't played it in a while so I might just be noticing it more now, not sure though. It sounds like the fan really picks up and when its loading you can hear like little different noises. I just want to make sure everythings working because I don't want to sell this guy something thats not working 100%, even though I listed it and am selling it through Craigslist.
just like a computer, formatting uses some of the space on the hard drive. if you have a 100 GB hard drive. only like 93Gb is free. Its probably not showing up formatting and maybe some other stuff on there. You're good. As far as getting louder, you are hearing the cd spin in the drive most likely. You may also be hearing the fans come on inside. Stop worrying.
I got $275 for: 20 GB X-Box 360 and a 256 MB memory card 2 Wireless Controllers 1 Rechargeable battery package Halo 3 GTA IV Gears of War Sonic Tennis (or something like that, it came with the system) *I also had the receipt and original box and all the papers it came with.
