Wrong, who ever comes in will have to compete in order to start. If the QB position struggles they will select one in next year's draft. Green will have to either take a pay cut or will be released, and Parcells would have to want him. Im pretty sure he will not get cleard to ever play again and no team wil ltake a chance on him.

This is true as far as being a good mentor for Beck. But Trent Green's familiarity with the offense is about to go out the door with Cameron (if, as we all expect, it happens). Green has been around for a while and is valuable as a mentor when it comes to understanding the complexities of defenses. But, I really don't think he'll be back. I can't imagine Parcells wanting a guy who is a concussion or two away from being scrambled eggs. On top of that, Green is being paid quite a bit to sit the bench. Maybe he'll restructure and take a salary cut. Who knows....
