    Hands down the best voice in the history of sports, the Voice of God....debuted on an April day in 1951 in a 5-0 win against the Red Sox. As well, some guy named Micky Mantle had his first game that day...

    First lineup card from that game, amazing names on here, 8 HOF'ers (bolded)....he also did Giant football games, boxing matches, and a host of other sporting event.....truly one of a kind, and will be missed certainly

    RIP. Him and the guy that used to do the NFL FILMS "the frozen tundra, etc" were the two best voices ever. and another tie to the past passes away. Sad
