Jerry Reed dead at 71 The sad thing is most people will remember him for the silly Smokey and the Bandit movies and forget what a fantastic musician he was.
Yeah... He was hillarious! She's got the Goldmine was my favorite of his! Snowman will be missed... What badass movies those were!
She got the goldmine was great, and so was "Oh Lord it's hard to be humble, (when your perfect in every way)." heck when i was in high school and my 15 year old dog died, i insisted on replacing him with a bassett hound, and i named him Fred, after the Snowman's dog. RIP Jerry Reed.
Truely a sad passing indeed. RIP Mr Reed. Your banter and wit were unmatched. The roles you played often seemed that of an uneducated bumpkin, which of course was your conduit to help educate US bumpkins to the reality and cleverness involved. You will be missed but never forgotten
