I guess he may have died today, has a picture of him on www.apple.com 1955-2011.
RIP sir.

Damn. He really was in bad shape. Wow. Wonder if he ever decided to meet his biological father.
The tech world just lost a giant. -
...starting the countdown until they start building all-glass iShrines to commemorate the guy.

I remember seeing photos of him about a month ago and I'm surprised he lasted this past month. Cancer is a *****.
-
-
Ah, of course, TMZ.
-
damn shame.
-
Cancer sucks.
People forget, but he purchased Pixar too in the 80s. If he didn't, who knows what would have happened to the company. The world without Toy Story and other Pixar films would suck! -
So sad. I didn't even know he was sick. Bought an iPhone a few months ago, my first Apple product, and I love it.
R.I.P. Mr. Jobs. -
Wow this is sad. He changed the world with the iPhone. Brilliant man.
-
My first computer I ever used was an apple II in 1st grade. His inventions and a few others revolutionized the way in which we do pretty much everything today.
-
He's also responsible for mice, Windows (ok, his idea was stolen) and fonts. Cool quote from him about bucking conventional thinking with computers:
"A lot of times, people don't know what they want until you show it to them."
Supposedly the World Wide Web was started on his Next computers, according to the LA times. -
Also, his management of Pixar should get more attention. Dolphins1Beatles is right to bring that up. He bought Pixar off George Lucas: after Jobs took Pixar public soon after Toy Story's release, Jobs became a billionaire. His management of Pixar was opposite that at Apple; while he was very hands-on and involved in everything at Apple down to the cafeteria menu, he let everyone at Pixar do their thing without his interference. -
I find it amazing that apple forever wasn't worth a damn, not many people used the mac. then came the ipod.
-
-
Wether you liked Apple or not...he literally changed the world with his products.

-
pretty memorable life/career/impact for a guy who dropped out of college after one year. and even though he only spent a short time there, he made sure our school was always filled to the brim with Macs when I was there in the 90s.

Jobs was a modern day Edison; a guy who took the things we dreamed about and made them a reality.
The world just lost a visionary. -
-
...why does that image conjure up the thought of a live Steve Jobs doing lines off a stripper's ***?
