Yeah, I saw the same thing and it was really in bad taste. He should be BAM!!!! Kicked off the air. This guy just simply pisses me off when I see him on the show.

Exactly, he was making the point that no one, not even Bellicheck, could win with a Morman at QB, a Samoan at FB, and a Mexican WR. He was suggesting, IMO, that these types of people were not good enough football players to win with. That, I thought, was borderline racial and at least in very bad taste. This guy is just an idiot.

 

Mormons as far as I'm aware are a religous group not a race.

Mexicans are from the country of Mexico, and are not a race, and are mostly a mix of Amercan Indian and Spanish (caucasian) races.

Samoans are members of the Polynesian race who come from the Island of Samoa.

So whatever he said it definitely wasn't racist

 

if you guys ever listened to his show....he has named multiple times the dolphins "lead the league" in samoans......and has had those same somoans at his show sponsered movie events.....

he has asked john beck himself, how it funny it is to be on a team with "mormans and somoans" beck laughed at it and answered with something funny....

And after camarillos game winning TD catch he had "greg camarillo" day and asked who was the best mexicans in the NFL......

How in anyway is him saying those things "Racial Slurs" ?!?!? This is america....its reasons like some people on this board that cry about him saying "a mexican reciever and mormon quaterback" that we have censored EVERYTHING in this country....if the MEN HE IS TALKING ABOUT dont have a problem with it.....infact they laugh about it....and make appearances at HIS shows.....why do you?!?!? heres a statement for you.....its not racist or anything i promise....."GET OVER IT".....in a world where gas prices are through the roof, the economy is horrible and we have soldiers dying everyday in foreign countries.......THIS is what we cry about?!?! See here's why I'm offended. How he said it made it sound like we are bad because of our minorities.

For those who don't see the big deal, fine. But if he said the same thing except Mormon was Black, he'd be fired already.

 

I wasn't saying the comment was inoffensive or that it wouldn't upset people, or defending his comments in any way shape or form. I was pointing out that the use of the term "racist" to criticise the comments is inaccurate.

Without having heard the comments I'm not prepared to venture a firm opinion as to whether this was relatively harmless joking or something more offensive. On paper the comments look very bad.

 

We should all just learn from Ricky and find inner peace and love through medication, I mean meditation. It's hard to hate when you're high...unless Taco Bell's closed then it's on!!!!
