Old news probably to most, but I know alot of people had mentioned we should try and get this guy, but I think for that kind of cash I'm a bit glad we passed on him

The Raiders are going to have 0 cap space in the coming seasons. They better hope they get something out of these huge contracts, but I'm still realing over the Tommy Kelly $50.5 million contract, how the hell did he get that much.

You should look at his career stats lol his stats show that he is not even worth 1/5 of that money.

More proof that Al Davis is really losing it. I'm not trying to make a joke either. Senile Dementia is probably setting in on him.

Yeah he should have gave up on the team in 04. That team will never be turned around under his reign.

I would have payed Ashmougha that 70 million and saved the second round draft pick, Al Davis..certainly has an *ahhem* odd way of running the Raiders.

So he has given up the #35 pick this year, for a CB, and the #64 (first pick 3rd round) last year, this is Wanny bad on his part.

Yeah I would have saved that money to pay Ashmougha. Hes a very good corner and Hall is overrated imo. I also agree that it was "Wanny" bad to give up draft picks considering their roster. They need all the draft picks they can get. I think they would have been fine with Stanford Routt as the second corner but thats Al Davis for you. He wants big names, he gets them no matter the price. I think this move will back fire on them in a couple of years when Hall gets out of control due to losing.

Well, they could also have used that #2 to trade back into the late first round.

I bet Davis is having flashbacks to the Hayes and Haynes days and wants two top flight corners again, in Today's NFL, unless you draft them, you just can't afford that, and Hall signed for Clement money, which means Ashmougha will be even more expensive unless Davis just tries to Franchise him ala Walter Jones over the years.

    Yeah good point.

Davis needs to wake up and figure out we have a salary cap nowadays. This isn't the "early days". Ashmougha will get more money simply because he is a better player. I wonder if they have agreed with Ashoumgha not to place the franchise tag on him next year. I dont think he has signed it anways has he?
