The colts were heavily interested in Losman, the Raiders pulled the trigger, the fact that he may start in Oakland only speaks to how far JaMarcus "emperor of suck, Master of the Turnover" Russel has fallen.

Great for the UFL though, this is what they are supposed to be doing, and this brings the number of exUFLers in the NFL to three, Losman, Pettiti, and a Kicker, De De Dorsey was alson on the brink of ending up in the NFL.

But the one cat that will make the jump imho is Odell Thurman.

The truly sad part is he is a legitimate upgrade over Russel.

I have seen High Schoolers here in North Texas that are an upgrade to Russell...
I honestly have zero idea how a QB could possibly be as bad as he is... :pity:

    And he's HUGE!!!!
Coming out of LSU I really thought he was gonna be a decent QB.
Since he ended up with the Raiduhs, I am glad I was wrong on that one

A window into Al Davis's thought process around draft time:

"...that guy runs faster than anyone I've ever seen; draft him"

    "...Wow! What an athlete"

"...That big dude can throw really hard"

"We already got that Satele guy, don't draft for the line; we're all set. Besides, McFadden can break 9 defenders; I mean, look at the game he had against Troy"

"College play says enough about NFL talent"

I swear. The Raiders are the NFL equivalent of the New York Knicks. They draft what they feel will be the "next big point guard" every year, and have a team loaded with about 8 point guards. Nice job.

Actually...no...the UFL is like the last stop now that the Arena League has folded, the Raiders actually do have some talent and even a Qb like Gradkowski led them to a couple of wins.

My question would be how quickly Losman could start, because JMARK is the disaster that folks claim Pat White is, and he has proven over and over that he is a disaster of a Qb.

Bring on Losman, he cannot do any worse, Russel could play LT though..

    lol

With the kind of effort he exherts on the field, I wouldn't want him watching my back. Just saying, as big and talented as he is, he's got no heart either way.

The Raiders didn't even care about Jamarcus enough to try and keep Moss

I forgot about that! Did they actually play together? Talk about lethargy feeding off lethargy. Talk about wasted talent.

I wouldn't say wasted, I would say Hustle and Dedication are both talents, perhaps the most important talents.

Well, they are two guys who look like they could kill people on the football field, but won't because they just won't feel like it.

Well he is an upgrade over their current Qb's. Honestly I'm surprised Losman wasn't in the NFL. Not that he's a great Qb mind you but he's certainly better than a few backups out there.
