The Rams are excited to announce four trades in the last two days that signify a busy offseason is well underway. After finishing 7 and 9 last season, St. Louis are looking to build on their momentum by acquiring young and exciting players, cutting salary, and heading into free agency and the draft with plenty of ammunition.

In the first trade the Rams sent DT Kendall Langford ($6,000,000), to Cleveland for RB Trent Richardson. Langford was signed as a free agent last offseason. And while he played well enough to come back next season, the offer of former #3 overall pick Trent Richardson was just too much to pass up. "Very pleased to add a dynamic running back to our offense in the form of Trent Richardson. He's a player that can take it the distance at any time and we really haven't had that type of player since Marshall Faulk. He seemed to fall out of favor with his former team for whatever reason. Considering he was carrying the ball with two broken ribs, I can understand if he did in fact hit the proverbial rookie wall" said new GM Paul 13.

The second trade sent the Rams 4th round pick to Cleveland again for talented safety TJ Ward and the Browns' 7th round pick. Added new defensive coordinator Dick Jauron, "TJ is a fast rising talent in the NFL at just 26. He flourished last year with me for the Browns at strong safety and adds a hard hitting element that our secondary needs, particularly in run support." TJ's QBR against per PFF is a measley 60.4, helping rank him as the sixth overall safety and will now be paired with the 5th overall safety in Quintin Mikell.

In a bit of a surprise move, the Rams sent standout corner Cortland Finnegan ($15,000,000) to the Bucs for a 2nd round pick. "While Cortland is a great player, we felt it was time to give the starting role over to Trumaine Johnson and Janoris Jenkins full time. And the salary didn't merit the positional demotion unfortunately. We wish Cortland the best with his new team in Florida" added long time coach Jeff Fisher.

Using the pick acquired from the Finnegan trade, the Rams then sent that pick along with backup running back Daryl Richardson to San Diego for up and coming sensation defensive lineman Corey Liuget and a 4th round pick. "This is a very exciting move for our defense" exclaimed GM Paul 13. "We've added a guy that can do many things well on the inside of our front four. He got seven sacks last season, which for an inside guy in this league is outstanding. He's really just scratching the surface of his potential though and pairing him alongside 1st round pick Michael Brockers and then recall our outside rushers in Long and Quinn, I think we've really added to an already solid front that will hopefully keep opposing quarterbacks up at night."

    What's next?!?!?!
