I also posted this in the Other NFL forum. I don't think its wishful thinking. Al Saunders is their OC and Tight Ends have big years under him (i.e. Gonzalez and Cooley).

 

McMichael certainly has a chance, but he's going to want to take it. The problem in Miami was him, he lost his focus or fire, started dropping passes and his not particularly noteworthy blocking skills went south to "awful".

 

They're trying the same thing we tried. McMichael just wasn't in it to win it. After he got paid, he slacked off. He could of been one of the great TE's in the league.

He was top ten until the wheels fell off in Miami. Even top five two years. He has the talent there, lets see if their offense can take advantage of it.

If they can light a fire under him, and get him some gloves coated with glue, and keep him from getting arrested for domestic abuse again, then this could happen.

When the Rams signed him I thought that there might be a chance that he could blossom with a decent qb behind center,,,:lol:..

The guy has hands of stone and it probably started from where his brain SHOULD be!

He won't be, at least not with Steven Jackson there. He'll probably be the third option behind Jackson and Holt.

Every off-season I read the same thing about that guy.

Every summer when he was here we'd see articles that look exactly like that one, last year when the Rams signed him they said the exact same thing.

He just ain't got it in him. I don't know if it's his issues with alcohol or what exactly...

It reminds me of the interview by our QB coach last week when he said he'd seen plenty of players that looked great in practice but when they were put in real games they'd 'spit the bit'.

 

Agreed. Every year is going to be a "Breakout year" for Randy. Full of obvious potential and disappointment. He's got skills, but it's like he only shows up for a handful of games.

 

the only way that happens is if he walks into the locker room with a case or two of these under his arms, and they proceed to throw the empties at the opponents.

 

They guy is good for 600-800 yards and 5 TDs or so a year. That's all you really need from him behind jackson and holt. That isn't elite, but it's pretty damn solid. Oh did I mention who those qbs were when he got 600-800 yards? :D
