The Rams are doing well in a tough division:

    Biggest Challenge?

    X-Factors?
    Short week for the Rams.
    Cross-country flight for the Rams.

This is going to be a big test. They looked very good against the Bears. They do have to turn around and travel across the country on a short week. So hopefully that gives us an advantage.

All of Miami's offensive stats to date are now moot. While Miami will be running the same offense per say, it's going to be Tua's execution of said offense that's going to be the difference now, for better or worse.

Defensively however, all of Miami's stats are still applicable.

I've been trying to get into just football and support the team but the black and white hat on Flo's head is uncalled for.

Close.... but no cigar. Spain is locked down, Gibraltar isn't. We've not had a death here, the lockdown was light. Right now we have only a few restrictions.

Short week, coast to coast travel, new starting quarterback to prep for...always bet against the spread in these situations. However, that doesn't mean we'll win outright, only that we'll likely cover.

My expectations are sky-high for Tua but the reality is that I just don't know what his first game will look like. If he struggles, do we bench him? If he plays lights-out, do we press to run up the score? Will we turn him loose with his legs at all? So many questions will be answered this Sunday and I simply can't wait for his grand awakening in Miami.

I can't see them benching him unless he is totally lost out there.

There is mental damage that can be done.

Tua isnt going to be incredibly dangerous with his legs in my opinion. He has good mobility, but it's what I'd refer to as pocket mobility. He creates space behind the LOS with good pocket awareness and above average agility for the position.

He isnt a take off and run with it QB though, not to say he cant make some plays with his legs when things break down or the defense turns it's back. He can.

Tua is a true dual thread QB and it's possible we see some RPO mixed in this week. His skillset is very unique in the NFL since he has one of the better arms and excellent mobility. I've never doubted his talent...it's just a matter of how quickly he brings it all together (& if he stays healthy).

But to contradict what you said, he absolutely will take off and run with it! He did it in high school and college with a lot of success since he's so fluid under center and through his initial steps.

In his two passes last game at least one of them was an RPO if I remember correct.

I expect to see alot of that Sunday.

We need to stop the Rams run game, the Bears failed to do that on defense. I think we have a better offense even with Tua in his first game than what the Bears showed, as our OL is in better shape. I expect a close game, with Miami winning it with a late FG.

I only care about two things.
    1. He gets thru this game healthy.
    2. He plays well.

    Bonus. Hey! We win!

Right, but doing something in college doesnt mean that skill set translates exactly to the NFL.

I'm not saying he cant run now and then or doesnt have good mobility.

A nice Star Wars themed Dolphins project could be fun.

I get your point; I truly do and what should be a genuine, patriotic, benign message to remind fans to get out and vote can be viewed as an ulterior message and turn some fans off to the game itself. Do what I do and don't let it bother you. People are going to do what people are going to do and organizations are going to do what organizations are going to do.

Hell, I typically DVR the game when it's being broadcast on U-Verse and don't start watching the game until an hour after it starts so I can fast forward through and avoid what distracts me from my love for Dolphins football.

    FINS UP BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

Well one thing I thought was cute was the light saber swooshes I heard a few times, but expected to hear more of those swooshes every time they showed Tua throwing the ball

Rams rookie safety Terrell Burgess will miss the rest of the season, coach Sean McVay said Tuesday. Burgess will undergo surgery Wednesday on his broken ankle. “Godspeed,” Burgess tweeted, along with praying hands, on Tuesday night.

“It’s a shame because he was doing so well in really both phases, special teams and defense,” McVay said. “But he’s got a really bright future.”

Burgess, a third-round pick out of Utah, injured his ankle during a tackle of Bears running back David Montgomery on Monday night. Burgess’ left leg got caught underneath him as he was bent backward. The medical staff placed an air cast on Burgess’ leg before he was carted off. Burgess had three tackles, including two on special teams.

He finished his rookie season with eight tackles and a pass breakup in seven games.
