Sooooooo...you're comfortable with a 2nd yr guy and a journeyman duking it out for the starting FS spot ???

Clemons looked like he was lost several times late in the season out there. Culver is nothing more than a journeyman DB who's bounced around a little before getting here. Jones looks to be more of a SS than a FS but is still a rookie.

I am not totally down on Clemons and he may develop further this coming year, but there is going to be a learning curve. Last season, we were beat up in the middle of the field. Wilson, Bell, Crowder and Ayodele have been replaced with Clemons, Bell, Dansby and Crowder. How much of an improvement is that really ?? I'm not sure. Crowder may do better with the pressure not being on him to be 'the man', that falls to Dansby, who should be able to handle the job. Bell is coming off a down year, but some of that was obviously due to the other members of the D. If it turns out the way the Troika have been advertising, we'll have three 2nd year guys and Bell in the secondary.... I'm not totally comfortable with that arrangement. Will Allen isn't going to be a FS either. I'd feel even less comfortable with that setup....

I'm not convinced they have the problem resolved....

I'm comfortable with not having to read a new thread every damn day talking about how we're going to sign O.J. Atogwe when there was never, NEVER, not one one hundreth of a one thousandth of a chance that we were.

im sorry but it doesnt matter if your comfortable with it or not.... the Front Office must be VERY comfortable or they would have went out and gotten Atogwe.... If the FO is comfortable with clemons then the fans should be too

I am interested to see how Clemons will fare this year, but I can't say I didn't want Atogwe on our team. I just wish the season would start!

Certainly nervous about our Safety play this season. Hopefully we've really got something in Clemons or somebody on the roster.

I'm nervous about our FS position next year also. From what I've been reading it seems like Clemons is ready to start but I hope they are right. We can't go through another year with lackluster play from the safeties. Good for Atogwe though getting a multi-year deal and I would have liked to see him on the Fins but it didn't happen for various reasons. I just hope we really have found the right FS.

We have who we have, lets just hope for the best. It would be really great if Clemons turned into something special and we didn't have to go pay a fortune to another team for a change. I would rather our draft choices turned into stars, and that's what I am hoping for in Clemons. He may have a learning curve this season, but I have a feeling Nolan has a plan and will see to it our FS play is up to par.

Glad the Atogwe thing is over, would not mind having him, but our FO obviously likes what they've got in Clemons enough to roll with him, develop our talent. I pray they are right on this one. I will say this, they seem to have a better record with their draft picks than with their FA acquisitions. Or so it seems to me.
