So every now and then I decide to just post some random gaming news that sounds sort of interesting and I put it all in one thread for easy reference.

    Anyway here we go:

At the recent Japanese gaming convention Kaz Hirai announced that in a two week span that the PS3 slim has sold 1 million consoles (which I am guessing is worldwide numbers).

Moving on to the next story, Nintendo has officially announced that the Wii will be priced at $199 starting September 27, 2009.

Now on to the Microsoft front where Reed Hastings, CEO of Netflix, has said that currently Netflix is a 360 exclusive but eventually they want Netflix on all consoles, Blu-ray players, etc. but that no moves have started yet.

Now back to the Sony front with three final stories one of which is a rumor but one that I am very excited about.

First up is that the God of War Blu-Ray collection this December will come with a demo code for God of War III. The second is that the second DLC map for Batman:Arkham Asylum, Prey in the Darkness, will be a PS3 exclusive in North America only and XBLA will get it in all other regions.

Here is the link to both in order:

Finally on to the last bit of info. I have that is a rumor that has me excited and it's about possible Dreamcast games finding their way onto PSN.

Anyway the rumor goes that Sony and Sega execs were meeting and somehow a rumored transcript from the meeting found its way to the public. Apparently the big news was that Sony is wanting to get all PS2 games into the PSN store in time and since Sony has been rumored to make another big announcement at the end of the year that makes sense. Also with the PS2 going into its 10th year it makes since that Sony would be moving away from it paving the way for PS2 games on PSN, but of course that is me wondering out loud and as I said this is all very much a rumor.

The part that has me excited is that Dreamcast games could be coming to PSN (and from the wording I think also possibly to XBLA). Of course I am a huge Dreamcast nerd and any news on that front has me excited.

Anyway here is the official link with all this so you can read it yourself:

So anyway there are my ramblings and hopefully something interests someone. :D
