Noticed that Randy played really well in the 4th quarter, and looked back at his stats for the last month or so and statistically he's been doing prett damn good for the last 5 games. Any of the line play gurus want to tell me if Randy has been playing well for a sustained period or if he's just been having a streaky patch.
I love how Starks has been playing this year, incredible. I think we might have found Fergie's replacement in Soliai the kid had his best game as a pro today. Torbor is also playing real nice and Culver is another reserve I love.
Starks led all Miami D-linemen in metrics last year with an incredible 27% win rate (nobody else on the d-line was above 14%). To put that in perspective, Andy Alleman was one of the league's worst offensive guards last year at a very pathetic 73% win rate (the worst O-lineman on the team next to Alleman was Samson Satele's terrible 79% metric score last year)... So Randy Starks was making opposing linemen look like the pathetic 2008 version of Andy Alleman with his team worst score. Starks is really good.
I'm thinking he graded out our best defensive lineman last year.. so it's more than a streak.. good play at a high level.
Starks never really caught on in Tennessee but he has been tremendous with us. Starks, Langford and Merling make for a very solid DE rotation.
Finally beginning to show a bit of the character they were brimming with last year, when different players stepped up each week, to make positive differences, and overcome deficiencies elsewhere. We won the division by players stepping up across the team, throughout the season.
To bad other than Wilson and Starks with there individual sacks we had NO pass rush whatsoever...Porter and JT were missing in action as Sanchez took ALL DAY to pass today and very rarely paid the price for it. I know people will say, Porter is injuried but if he's such a great team player step aside and let Wake get some playing time. I can't for the life of me see how this team cannot utilize Wake better than what has been shown
