Every year, Bill Simmons (yes, I know, everybody hates him) ranks every NBA player's trade value. I'm proposing something similar, but different. Who on our roster could be traded for a First, Second, or Third Round Pick? FIRST ROUND PICK + additional picks Jake Long. If you want the best LT in football, you'd have to give up more than a first rounder. FIRST ROUND PICK Cameron Wake. He's a stud and he's cheap, but he'll want a new contract. SECOND ROUND PICK Mike Pouncey - Looks like the real deal thus far. But I doubt any team would trade a first round pick for him. Vontae Davis - Jury is still out on this guy. He'd get a second based on his upside. Daniel Thomas - Likely worth the second round grade. He's looked good behind a crap o-line. Kendall Langford - Excellent 3-4 DE. Karlos Dansby - Had a rough year thus far, but our team is crap. THIRD ROUND PICK Jared Odrick - No one would trade more than a 3rd for this injury prone DE. Brandon Marshall - Maybe a 3rd is a stretch for this headcase who drops TDs. Probably only get a 4th for him, but I don't want to admit it. Tony McDaniel - Stong, tough dude. Sean Smith - Vontae Davis with hands of stone. Everybody else would be worth a 4th round pick or less. Am I nuts?
1st Round Pick + Additional Picks Brandon Fields - If you want the best punter in football, you'd have to give up more than a 1st rounder.
Love the team but no way is he nor ever was, the best LT in the NFL. Kid gets a lot of passes for his mistakes even prior to this year.
Frankly GH, I think the girl in your avy has more value than most of players on that list. Who is she BTW?
I think Brandon Marshall is still worth a 2nd round pick. But guys like Daniel Thomas and Kendall Langford are not. Vontae Davis is a maybe. Karlos Dansby probably not, considering the contract that comes with him.
