This guy been hounding me for peterson, so I made him one offer.
he gets: adrian peterson
hines ward
vikings dt/st
I get: steven jackson
greg jennings
steelers dt/st
ESPN LEAGUE, I think that I would get the better wr & def and he would get peterson, who might not do as good in fantasy this year if the vikes get favre.
Did I make a good trade or screwed the pooch.

I hate that deal for you. I think Peterson's the best player in fantasy football, and I wouldn't think about trading him for an injury-prone running back and a modest upgrade at WR. The swap of defenses is essentially irrelevant.

Have to agree with Phil on this one.
Probably a very good reason AP was high on this guys list
You probably did get an upgrade at WR, but not enough to justify giving up APBig E and dolphinkev like this. -

Is it a PPR league?
If it is then I hate this deal less than what others have said.
The only knock against SJ is his health, which is definitely a legit concern. But then again, Peterson has already had 1 major injury in his short career.
Peterson catches 0 passes, SJ catches a ****load. So points-wise, it isn't a bad move there.
I also think Jennings is a really big upgrade over Ward.
I guess it would come down to is the league PPR and what's the rest of your roster look like?dolphinkev likes this. -
It all depends on whether it's a PPR league... or if you believe the 370 curse.
It's not a bad trade, but it depends on those two things I mentioned before.dolphinkev likes this. -
NO PPR LEAGUE, If I get jennings it will give me at wr.
jennings
randy moss
brandon marshall
anthony gonzales
lance moore
at rb I would have:
steven jackson
larry johnson
cedric benson
donald brown
jerious norwood
at Qb
warner
orton
te
witten
carlson
k
bironas
def/st
steelers
That is how my team would stack up, if this trade goes thru. -

how did you get adrian peterson and randy moss?
-
got Peterson with the #1 pick and moss with #19 then I took warner with#20.
-
trading a top RB for a top WR isnt smart IMO. its easy to replace a WR with a rookie who is getting wicked touches (Eddie Royal, Marques Colston, Anquan Boldin). Jackson will disappoint you, and you will be sorry.
-
-
Looking at your roster if you are planning on trading Peterson then you need to trade him for 2 starting running backs.
-
-
It's much more difficult to find a hidden gem at RB because most backup running backs and rookies are taken in the draft. Usually only proven WRs and a few rookies will be drafted. There is ALWAYS a WR stud to be found on the waiver wire during week 1. Jerrico Cothcery from a few years ago was a good example. Anquan Boldin before that. Marques Colston. Eddie Royal.... It happens a lot. -

I left the trade open for 24 hours he didn't take it, so I just cancelled it. so I got peterson back.
