He said and i quote, 'His team came down here in what was a HOSTILE environment...
I wanted to put this in its own thead so everyone coud see it... I dont know how important it is to you guys but if your like me, it gave me goosebumps.
I tell ya this, it was the loudest and best crowd ever at that stadium but it had the capability to get much louder. If we would of played well that place was about to go crazy.
Its just nice for the first time, since we've been at our stadium, that someone like him acknowledged us and our fans.
P.S. in the beginning of the game i was standing and cheering when i got the proverbial tap on the shoulder and was asked if i could sit down...I turned around and looked at the guy and his three boys and told him..' NOT TODAY SIR!! "IAM GONNA DO MY PART!! A little later he and his kids were high fiving me and standing during defensive series..I worked my butt off in that stadium to convert as many as i could.
Once again, it was just nice to hear that about our fans.

Glad it was loud at the game, but loud is a relative term.
It was loud for Dolphins fans compared to what fans in Miami are used to doing. There were times when it was oddly quiet through the TV. And no, it's not because it's through a TV... we all watched a lot of playoff games this weekend and they were all louder than ours.
this IS a great first steo though, towards getting Miami fans interested in the team and out to the stadium. Now we have to teach them enough about football that they understand the game and know when to cheer/get excited.
If we can make the playoffs next year it will help build fan momentum. -

Just kidding. That's interesting, I didn't know that lol. Learn something new every day.GridIronKing34 likes this. -
I can tell you that they do lower the crowd noise at CBS. Ever notice how the crowd noise will sometimes go up and down, up and down in a matter of seconds? Like an 'in/out, in/out'. They mix it that way live so the announcers come thru. That's what happens in the 'truck'. NBC tends to let it be louder.
I've been to games where it's been loud. Then I go home and watch the recording and it doesn't translate.
It might not sound loud on TV. And then you read Shaun Hill saying that the crowd noise screwed up SF's snap count at the end.GridIronKing34 and alen1 like this. -

Yet we still have some posts ripping the fan base today.
Idiotic.
I was at the game and the fans did their part.
It was an electric atmosphere, no comparison to the Orange Bowl days but that simply isn't possible in the concrete condo. For what we have, it was rocking.
Another thing I noted is that this game had the lowest amount of opposing fans I had ever seen as well. It showed that Dolphin fans bought their tix and decided to go and support them rather than sell them off to Raven fans at a profit. That's been a rare occurence since the OB days.alen1 and NJFINSFAN1 like this. -

I just hope this little bit of publicity that we have been getting wll make an impact for the future. -
Didn't the Raven's olineman (forget which) have a false start and the commentators said it was from the fan noise. I can't remember the last time that happened at Dolphin Stadium.
It didn't sound loud on tv, but it must of been loud there. It finally looked full for once.
As for Ray Lewis, you should still be fined/suspended for the helmet on helmet hit on ricky. I don't really care about anything you have to say. I have lots of respect for ravens' players, just not him. -
I've had season tickets since maybe 1992 or 1993, and trust me, this was the loudest game (at least in the first half, and when Ronnie Brown scored) that I've ever attended down here. Too bad you guys couldn't see the pre-game crowds, man. It was crazy. "Ravens suck" and "Let's Go Dolphins" chants started from about.. literally.. 11am/12pm from the PARKING LOT to the ticket entrance.
On third down, I don't even chant defense anymore. It's too loud for that. I just put my around my mouth and scream, "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!" :D
I'm so used to the dead fair weather crowd at Dolphin Stadium. What a pleasure its been this year..Clark Kent likes this.
