Free agent RB Shaun Alexander is interested in finishing his career with his hometown Bengals. The Bengals didn't address the running back position in the draft after struggling to establish a rushing attack last season. The team is optimistic about the return to health of Rudi Johnson and Chris Perry, but Kenny Irons is not expected to be ready for the start of training camp. They have 3 decent backs there in Johnson, Perry and Irons. Unfortunate for them about all of the injuries. They definately need an insurance policy at RB, Alexander may be the right choice for them.
I surprised he wants to put forth the effort to play again. He must be blowing the money he got from that huge contract he got after he won the rushing title a couple years back.
