Don't know anything about this guy. However since he played in the West for the cards McDaniels must know him and thinks he is a fit for his system. He would have seen him twice a year which is way more than I ever have.

Not a huge fan of the deal, but it's obvious McDaniels wanted a dude who could step in and produce.

It's a short term deal, so not really gonna hamstring us.

Edmunds is a good runner, good pass catcher, fits the O, has played San Fran several times so McDaniels has gotten a good look. I still bet we pick up a SF guy on the cheap and maybe a later round RB, but I think devoting this salary to RB precludes a first or second rounder.

He was used more as a COP/3rd down back in Arizona. Would love to see him get his shot as more of a feature back, but guessing he'll continue to just be part of a committee in Miami.

A lot of $$$ for an undersized committee running back who has yet to break out.

At least he should have plenty of tread on the tires. 26 years old, but has never topped 120 rush attempts in a season.

Grier loves signing cheap FA RB that don’t work out. Was really hoping we’d get Hall or Walker in the 2nd.

Let's just talk abut that first stat- 3.6 yards before contact. It sounds great but unfortunately, that's not a RB stat....that's a blocking scheme stat.

Only if we get the line together. Would love to fix the OL in FA so we can draft for depth instead of acute need.

He's much better imo. Injury is a concern, but it's a position we are likely to have big depth at anyway. If he stays on the field and our OL is the league worst by a mile again he will put up solid numbers.

Mostert added now too according to his agent. Our RB room is starting to look a little crowded suddenly.

Mostert is a big get if he is healthy. Reports are his recovery is on track.
    McDaniel gets his guy.

Nice to see a big emphasis on the running game. Offense won’t be as one dimensional as last year. That much is clear.

Fair contract. About what you would expect.

Gaskin is now likely to be cut IMO.
His 2.5M salary carries almost no guaranteed $$ or dead caphit.

Giving Tua plenty of decent paced receiving options is a great idea. We know he can get the ball out of his hands quick, so giving him options that can create quick separation makes a lot of sense. Helps to protect the O-Line slightly more too.

The Dolphins are signing former San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert to a one-year deal worth $3.125 million, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported.

New Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel has plenty of experience with Mostert, who looked stellar at times in San Francisco for San Francisco in 2019, but has been troubled by injuries.

Ranked 94th and prognosticated to land in South Beach in Gregg Rosenthal's Top 101 NFL free agents of 2022, Mostert played just one game in 2021 due to a knee injury and that came after an eight-game 2020 season.
