Thank goodness for the YACs.They are part of the chunk yardage that this team has been striving for and struggling to get.

In fact one of the reasons Marshall was traded for was because of his YACs stats at Denver .He was not able to repeat those stats here.Something had to be done to change that and whatever they have done to this offense seems to be working.

No offense to the poster, but what kind of question is that? Do you know how many yards are racked up by QBs because of YAC? People act like its a bad thing. It's not IMO. If you can simplify the throws for your QB and still pick up a lot of YAC, it is fine. Its high percentage throws. What would people rather see? 4 Verticals every play? Its comparing lay up to jump shot IMO.

He's trying to marginalize Henne's efforts because of YAC. I can understand discounting YAC when analyzing say, deep passes. Because a midrange pass that turns into a long play because of YAC isn't reflective of deep pass accuracy.

But in terms of overall analysis, YAC is awesome. Means the QB hit a guy well enough for him to run. In the case of Marshall that just means you don't throw such a terrible pass at him, he's that good. For others, it means hitting them in stride, or recognizing him when he's wide open

We ranked near the bottom last year for YAC. This is an improvement.

Atlanta ranked last, other than White and Gonzalez they're pretty weak at receiver it seems. Something happened to Roddy White's yac last year. No wonder they went after Julio Jones.
