In a thread about how Scouts Inc. said the Jets "just keep getting better".

Sanchez (IMO) will never be a "franchise" QB. It's not about him being a Jet, I said it before he was drafted and still believe it. With more film on him this year I expect him to regress. Especially if they offensive line doesn't allow him the insane amount of time they did last season. -
Please bro. The Steel Curtain Steelers would be rated that. Not the Disfunctional Jets. -
Word is they're trying to unload Faneca, Ellis and a couple others. IF they had a top-tier QB, I'd pick them to go deep in the playoffs. I just don't think Sanchez is the guy.

I still believe Cromartie is extremely overrated, LT is done, Edwards always drops passes, etc.

Rest assured, the 2010 New Jets will not fail to deliver... quality laughs for the rest of the league to enjoy.
unluckyluciano and adamprez2003 like this. -
IMO Though, his mechanics break down HORRIBLY when there is any sign of pressure. The Jets will need to keep protecting him like they did last year, which is unrealistic considering the line hardly let anyone near him. -

[+] LaDainian Tomlinson
[-] Thomas Jones
This is close to a wash. It's still going to boil down to Shonn Greene as the only viable runner in the playoffs. Assuming the Jets can make it that far.
[+] Antonio Cromartie
[-] Lito Sheppard
While I don't consider Cromartie to be a top corner in the league, I do consider him to be one of the best #2's. He offers great athleticism and playmaking abilitiy. A solid addition.
[+] Santonio Holmes
[-] 5th round pick
The Jets won't miss Holmes in their first 4 games. They already know how to play without him. When he returns for the 5th game, their 5th round investment will prove well worth it. Braylon Edwards has the talent of a #2 WR, but lives in the body of a #1. Santonio Holmes has the talent of a #1 WR, but lives in the body of a #2. If they could swap bodies, they would be a great tandem. Unfortunately, they will only be a little above average.
[+] Jason Taylor
[-] Nothing
He won't be a starter. Adding an experienced situational pass rusher is good, but not a slam dunk. JT is getting old, and could be due for a 2 or 3 sacks season. We'll see how he does in their blitz-heavy 3rd down pressure packages. With a heavy blitz, JT should see a one on one matchup nearly every time he sees the field.
[+] Nothing
[-] Kerry Rhodes
Still a hole here. Pretty much the only hole on the roster. I'm glad that the signing of Jason Taylor restricts the Jets from entering any potential bids for OJ Atogwe if he hits the open market. If this sets Miami up for another key defensive signing, I would thank JT for signing with the Jets.
