I'm going to finish this later (feel free to chime in).
I was looking at our offense compared to their defense and their offense apposed to our defense. Each have new QB's who are improving.
A lot does depend on our running back situation, will Chatman and/or Ricky return? Because we run well and we are passing better. The Jet's do not run well or pass well.
Our defense is getting much better. Robinson and Moses played some at DE. R.Wright is playing well at DE and can switch over to give Traylor a break. Traylor still can make plays and Holiday is good. I had said we were wrong in playing Joey Porter as the strongside (left) OLB but he is starting to play it well. Teams are starting to run instead to their left over Jason Taylor and Pope instead.
If we can beat anyone straight up, it should be the Jets. If we can somehow give Beck a running game this week, we can tear one off. It all depends on if we can pull a running game out of this mix of running backs (does L.Booker sux this much?).
One thing I'm sure we Dolphin fans are all hoping and waiting for is a game played in great weather. Sunny, warm and dry on a good field. We want to see how is Beck and our WR's on a perfect day. Ginn on a dry field. We have played in rain, wind, mud, whatever for weeks now.
They was one player I wanted us to run against the Steelers. Partly because we had no one else and partly because of the weather and partly because of who is is. I wanted us to use Reagon Mauia like the Steelers did Jerome Bettis. I was watching him lead block and the Steelers would try to get out of his way. In this game we need a big mudder. Power I formation. Jason Peele in as fullback, Reagon Mauia back as tailback. Martin at TE, Ginn and Booker/Hagan. Pound away. and if it is a play action, guess what Reagon Mauia did for years? He pass blocked for a throwing college team (Twice now I've seen Chatman go too low and wiff on a block that got our QB sacked. That is weak).
Normally I would not run Mauia like that, but we should have a "huge" formation like that. The Patriots have scored running TD's with two of our ex-FB's this year. Heath Evans and K. Eckel. they run them on short yardage. Without Ronnie Brown we have no power running game.
We are so due a massive amount of luck and balls and calls going our way.
